Ran's 10 teamer squad

picked 9th: QB, WR(3), RB(2), TE, K, DEF/ST
(Yardage is 20yds/pt, TD=6 for all, and .5 per catch, so QB's are a little more valuable than in a standard league)

QB:
McNabb (5)
E. Manning

WR:
Moss (1)
Plax (4)
H. Ward
(Berrian)
(Crayton)
(Muhammad)

RB:
Portis (2)
J. Lewis (3)
(C. Taylor)
(Mendenhall)
(M. Morris)
(Ray Rice)

TE:
Da. Clark

Def:
NYG

K:
Scobee
Reed

What do you boys think?

Solid squad. Guy with AP might be looking to get Chester Taylor from you so you could use him as bait, and if not and AP gets hurt, you have another RB1 and his trade value goes WAY up.

Lot of upside with Mendenhall too.

Clark is a top 5 tight end as long as Manning is QB, and Giants D should get a lot of sacks.

Can't go wrong with Moss either, clearly.

so you take Peyton, Moss or Peyton, Portis?

I do think McNabb has a better year with Westbrook healthy...

or at your next pick for sure...in a scoring league that has qb's valued that high i'm surprised only 2 went in the first 2 rounds...thats a mistake

well in a qb favorable scoring like that i would have assumed manning would be gone by my next pick so i would have grabbed him and then a rb on the way back (portis was a good pick)

preciate the input, I'll let you know throughout the season if you were right. I'm not arguing as you have a valid point.

In my league, receivers are rewarded pretty highly, especially receivers that can grab TDs for more than 20 yards, and with each increment of 20 the value goes up more and more and more. So I felt like Moss was a good pick for me at 7.

For yours, was Romo (probably not) or Palmer available coming back up in the 3rd round? I think Palmer is a little more valuable in your type of league than Jamal Lewis could be, but then again, that's why it's fantasy, unpredictable.

Round 3
1. Larry Fitzgerald
2. Tony Romo
3. Laurence Maroney
4. T.J. Houshmandzadeh
5. Torry Holt
6. Willis McGahee
7. Marques Colston
8. Drew Brees
9. Jamal Lewis
10. Calvin Johnson

Round 4
1. Ben Roethlisberger
2. Plaxico Burress
3. Michael Turner
4. Jason Witten
5. Carson Palmer
6. Matt Hasselbeck
7. Reggie Bush
8. Antonio Gates
9. Brandon Marshall
10. Anquan Boldin

yeah, he was. Just last year, all my RBs got hurt, so I probably over-compensated for that a little. I would get like 6 points total from my RBs every week...

I probably would have grabbed Palmer before Plax with the ways QBs are rewarded in your league. JMO. You already had Moss so ton point every week out of him.

not trying to disagree with you on purpose, but I do. The news on Manning is still iffy. Read that he had a brace on his other knee yesterday. More and more of a question mark for week # 1. Hard to take him there (given those issues). I agree with Moss at # 9 (over Portis for sure) but if he is all set on a QB at # 9, then Romo may have been the safer pick.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
