Smart strategy or not?
I have my lineup set for the next few weeks with byes adjusted, but just thought I'd throw this out as a possible strategy to score a few extra points. I currently have Lawrence Tynes as my kicker, actually drafted Elam, but picked up Tynes after week 1, who went undrafted.
So far Tynes has been serviceable, but I know kickers really don't make a huge difference over the course of the season. I was just wondering if it's smarter to just stick with him for the rest of the season, or possibly get a new kicker on a week to week basis based on matchups? I can pick up Neil Rackers playing in what will most likely be a shootout against the Texans or Joe Nedney against the Falcons. Should I even consider doing this or just stick with Tynes until his bye and go from there? Rackers is projected to get 15 points this week, and that is definitely enticing. Any thoughts? |

nyg are facing oak. tynes should see a lot of work.
he has missed 3 FGs already and they've all been under 40. in the long term he may lose his job if he continues to struggle. but for now, stick with him |

Get a kicker from a good offense, and keep him there. Rackers or Elam are better than Tynes due to later season weather conditions, and the fact that they had their byes already.
