TE Question

Is there any reason to take a TE before round 7?

I cant see any huge statistical advantage in getting Gates in Rd 3 over Celek in Rd 7 or something like that.

Especially in a keeper league Id rather grab some RB/WR talent.

THoughts?

in my league, TEs count as WRs. Guys like Gates and Dallas Clark are comparable to solid WR2s, and are being drafted accordingly.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

If I can grab a Clark or Gates in the 4th round, I go for it. They are better than the WR left and the RB are not impressive at that point. The difference between the top TE and the next tier is huge.
