Tie breaker for CBS sports league
I finished in a tie for the last playoff spot, I have a 2-0 record head to head and a better division record, I was told by the guy that I'm tied with that the 1st tie breaker is always total points scored for the season, this sounds like BS to me, anyone know the standard rules?

Yes I believe that's correct.

I should clarify that I am not positive it's standard CBS tiebreaker but i know it's the TB in all of our CBS leagues. I don't remember if we set it up that way or it was automatic

I just looked at one of my CBS leagues and it says this
Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Total Points. One of my other ones is blank so maybe it was a custom setting. Did you look under your CBS "rules" page?

Yes, CBS uses points scored as a tie-breaker for both football and baseball. In my understanding this was a recent change for baseball. I'm in the same boat as you in one of my leagues.
