Trade Help: Gates and Rodgers for Chris Johnson and Boldin??????

Would you do it?

On one hand i feel is too high for a TE, on the other hand Boldin might be a bit overvalued right now.

I also dont have a reliable QB, McNabb and Favre.

I have a stable of RBs but im weak at WR so i'd hate giving up a WR. My only other WR is Garcon.
thoughts?

Rogers,Gates & Johnson are SOLID... boldin will stay streaky.

Do the math.

i would - does this guy have a decent backup qb and backup te, where his dropoffs wont be as drastic, and he's adding the best player in the league

there's a reason teams dont trade within their own division

sometimes its not worth making your team a bit stronger, when in return you're helping build a miami heat, if that makes sense

Boldin will probably get hurt again playing in that division.

Yeah, his backup is Eli and Gresham for TE.

I am not doing this trade, I would be handing him the trophy.

If i could get rodgers and gates, for 2 RB (not C. Johnson), or boldin and a different RB i would consider it.

LOL

its like a magnet... you must use some advanced searching.

gates is an upgrade over witten, no questions about that. Is it a significant # of points every week to justify moving a #1 and #2? I am not sure about that. I find it difficult to think that just the TE would break me every week.

But this is why im asking.

if your starting te is witten then yes it is a significant upgrade. Over the first 3 weeks he's outperformed him by dd's every week. So that is a difference of likely a few wins over the course of a season

Yea, maybe the guy will trade him gates straight up for witten...

but until he does, you have to consider the context of the trade
