Trade, please help

This is my starting lineup:

Edwards, Trent QB BUF @STL
Johnson, Chris RB TEN MIN
Stewart, Jonathan RB CAR ATL
Johnson, Andre WR HOU @JAC
Marshall, Brandon WR DEN @KC
Smith, Steve WR CAR
Winslow, Kellen TE CLE
Elam, Jason K ATL
Bears DST

These are my reserves:

Cassel, Matt QB
Jones, Felix RB
Mendenhall, Rashard RB
Bowe, Dwayne WR
Rice, Sidney WR
Scaife, Bo TE
Bironas, Rob K TEN

Somebody offered me Brees for Steve Smith and Felix Jones. I picked up Edwards off waivers and he has been doing pretty well. I wasa one of those poor scmucks that had Brady. I am not sure if I should do this because it may screw me for 1 or 2 of the bye weeks. Please help!!!!

I would never do that trade. you are giving up way too much. I believe Smith will put his problems behind him and have a big year. And Jones could be your best RB. If Barber ever went down, he would become a stud!!

i'd do it. your team isn't going to make the playoffs with trent edwards.

which lineup is better?

QB - Brees
RB - Johnson
RB - Stewart
WR - Johnson
WR - Marshall
WR - Bowe

or

QB - Edwards
RB - Johnson
RB - Stewart
WR - Johnson
WR - Marshall
WR - Smith

you're getting a much better starting lineup with this trade. who cares if barber gets injured or not...it may never happen

I am actually leaning towards no Brees is averaging 21 points and Edwards is averaging 15 points in my league. Any other opinions are appreciated.

I agree with dhunter, gives you a better starting lineup. Brees/Bowe will give more points than Edwards/Smith.

I agree. Although as a Barber and Felix Jones owner, I would not trade Jones unless it was an extremely good offer.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

I see the point difference moving in the favor of Brees over the season. My quick thoughts.
Brees: Gets Colston back in a couple weeks / plays half its games in a dome / defense is not very good so most games will be a shootout.
Edwards: Run oriented offense / Good D so the possibility of lower scoring ball control offense exists / Weather conditions during the fantasy playoffs.

keep in mind if he makes this trade he will be shorthanded for 2 upcomming weeks due to byes.(week 6, only 1 RB, and week 8 only 2 WR). Granted he can pick up someone off waiver, but probably not much out there unless he gets lucky and picks up a 1 week wonder...

No way S.smith will have a huge year. Plus D.bowe sucks with out a good QB throwing him the ball. I like Brees this year but i feel your giving up to much.

I say no way.

Steve Smith will have a great year and Felix Jones will get more carries. He will be a sleeper and you never know with the injury to parker and the offensive line struggles with Pittsburgh.

I would keep Edwards or even see who is on waivers.
