Trading for the Playoffs

My team is really doing well 6-1-1 (1st place out of 12). I started to look ahead at the future playoffs matchups and they aren't looking too good.

I was wondering if any of you have traded for players with better playoff matchups before and if so how it worked out for you?

Also if you did trade how long did you wait? It would seem prudent to wait longer because what looks like a good matchup now can certainly change in a few weeks.

Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated...

yes and it usually bites you in the ass in the long run. Never overthink your team or future strategy. You are 6-1 for a reason, you're team is probably solid. Unless have had the luckiest matchups ever, your team will probably be alright for the playoffs

The only time I look to trade this time of year is if my team is struggling because of injuries or something or if I'm really deep at one position and can make a trade to a team who isn't really a danger to me to get stronger at another position.
Not sure about your rules, our trade deadline is week 10 so it's almost up for us.
