What to do in a league when...

When the commish isn't hands on enough, or too afraid to rock the boat? In a league I'm in, last wednesday a trade came across, Larry Fitz and Justin Forsett for Fred Jackson. 4 people have voted against this trade but it never got taken down because you need 6 people to object to even put it to review. That means the two people in the trade wouldn't vote against it and neither will the commish, so 6 out of 9 people have a two day window to object to the trade, which was coincidentally between the first place and last place team, you can guess who got who. But I want to know:
A) am I overreacting by thinking this trade is that lopsided, when Forsett was basically getting more carries than Lynch up until the trade happened
B) what do you do in a situation like this with the commish, who basically is saying too bad, anything goes on the trades this year, we aren't changing any rules until the offseason

i'd do what i'm doing in my smaller money league chris, take over as commish

too much trouble this year during our online draft, people complaining about times, scoring settings, blah blah blah

decided during the draft that i'm taking it over next year because i'm hands way on. if you can't make live draft, you're out. if you aren't paying up front, you're out. i'll let them vote on a couple scoring issues that they've been arguing about, majority settles it.

my suggestion is #1 obviously take the league over if you can, i'm sure if you're hands on, the other people getting jobbed by this trade won't mind you taking over the league at all

#2 ask the league (if they trust you) if they wouldn't mind having it a rule or stipulation that the commish can override any trade, only for instances like this

#3 ask the rest of the guys if they even want either of these 2 guys back. if they are really scheming to split the pot, that's busch as it gets.

That's what I think my main question was, me and my brother seem to be the only people that even still care about it and ironically he's 3-6 and I'm 4-5, so its not like it will really affect us lol

Chris, I have been commish of 2 keeper leagues(10 team and 14 team) for the past 9 years and have had to deal with many situations like this about fair and unfair trades. My first question would be has everyone voted or are there still some who havent voted either way and you need 2 of those votes to reach 6? Im assuming this is a 10 team league and need a majority(6 votes) to do anything. Secondly, has the rule(assuming there is a written rule) been followed? If all you have is 4 votes and need 6, not much the commish can do unless some have not voted. I had a similar situation a few weeks ago in one of my leagues. A trade that I thought was ok, got voted down in accordance with our league rules. Everyone voted and the majority voted the trade to be rejected. I can't change rules in midseason.

we have a 3 man trade committee, all trades get reviewed and voted on by this committee.
