I would do it. He is waaaay overpaying for an injured Brady.

And with not one but TWO Chargers on your team...how can you go wrong ???

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?

I am not drinking the Rivers Koolaid this yr. Rivers made most of his stats playing catch up and in shoot outs because his def was horrible 1st half of the season. Turner is a conservative running coach, with a healthy two back system, I smell run run run.
To your point I would take the trade because of the depth it gives you. You can turn that depth around and trade for needs or an elite later in the season as injuries take there toll

LT should have more TD's, but it's pretty hard to pass when the other team knows you have to.

no way. lets say that brady is still injured and has a down year (doubt it), then you are trading A. Johnson for Boldin 1 for 1. Boldin is still pissed he doesnt have his contract. you can do better for brady than schaub and gore.

I disagree. Boldin is good no doubt, but with Fitzy there, he is not on the same level as Andre Johnson. So, while Brady (still coming off an injury--it WILL slow him down---just look at Maning last year) is worth more than Schaub and Gore, it's not by that much. The deal is pretty even, but given his roster (and not just looking at it in the abstract), I think it makes sense for him to do it.

i agree he might not be as good as Johnson; but i think their numbers at then end of the season wont be much different; i dont mind this part of the trade as much.

I dont buy Brady being slowed down that much; have a hard time thinking the Patriots would gamble with Brady without a competent backup if they didnt think he will be alright. Brady's injury shouldnt affect him that much with the weapons he has; he was never the most mobile QB anyway. Schaub? i dont know how deep your league is but if you have both brady and rivers then it probably isnt that deep. You already have 2 starting RBs so Gore would only be a flex.

here is my take. I dont see any upside for you. The trade request is coming from someone with a below par QB. you make this trade and you run the risk that Brady has a huge year, then what? even if you dont play him, are you not better off keeping him off other teams just in case? if he does bomb, then feel free to release or trade. Similar for Boldin; you might have a slight upgrade, but i dont know what else you have for WR. Yes Boldin faces competition from Fitz, but i think defence will be a lot more concerned with Fitz and provide more space for Boldin (hopefully). Also consider who is throwing the ball.

Just my 2 cents; good luck.

thanks u guys for all the input, but i should clarify that this league starts 2 qb 2 rb 3 wr 2 rb/wr 1 each for the rest. so if i made this deal my lineup would be this:
qb schaub rivers
rb lt d.williams
wr a johnson r moss welker
rb/wr between either gore t.jones v. jackson of lee evans
would u take this deal is this league

alright that changes everything.

no way should you do the first trade. Schaub's best year would be the same as a mediocre year for brady. the secons is intriguing, but you have brady. brady to moss is 12pts +yards.

agree with Zoom. Having to start 2 QBs nixes that first offer.

Have to revise my statement as well, starting that many qbs, rbs, wrs etc... the depth wouldnt be as valuable as starting the real thing. The second deal ends the combo and if you think 2007 repeats itself I wouldnt give up Moss. Hypothetically, you swing a deal for Warner you could hit gold with a warner to fitz combo

every one of the so-called expert magazines has Fitzy on their cover. Seriously. Go to your local Borders. Fitzy on the cover of 8 out of every 10 mags.

Plus he is on the cover of Madden as well

I won't be picking Fitzy.
