Who took a QB in the 1st 3 Rounds this year????

How did you end up doing this year? I have always been against grabbing a QB before round 4 and I thought this year there a few decent QB1 options that could be found around rounds 7-10, as I mentioned Eli Manning and Jay Cutler. Neither absolutely torched it, but both exceeded their projections and turned in solid years. In my 3 main leagues, didn't take a QB before round 6, Schaub (6), Eli (10), Kolb (11) which turned into a disaster as I didn't get Vick. 2 out of 3 made playoffs, I have 1 team left that can win it all.

So my question is did taking a Peyton, Brady,Brees, Rodgers, Rivers turn out good or bad?

Took Rivers rd 3 in the cm league, highest scoring team in the league, still missed playoffs lol

Snatched Manning in the CM1 league.....turned in one of the top point totals but also missed the playoffs. Still an element of luck involved in H2H leagues regarding scheduling.

I did not, but after losing Stafford, Romo and then Stafford again to injury, I traded for Vick, and he has carried me into my league championship. I would not be where I am now without Vick.

Got Favre in the 9th round, Roethlisberger in the 10th round,,,,,,,but its all about getting Vick off waivers............

I took Cutler in the 6th and thought I was brilliant with the Martz throwing system.
Picked up Orton in like week 3 or so and he carried me to the playoffs.
Just picked up Kitna to take me to a Superbowl Championship.

Seems like most QBs are at least serviceable. Though I'd have taken Brady or Rogers in the 3rd if they were available.

I took Romo in the 3rd round and we know how that turned out. Luckily I used a combo of Fitzpatrick, Cutler, and Kitna to get me in the championship.

In my money league I've had Eli all season which was in the 9th round.

took Rivers in Round 4, won that league

took Matt Ryan in Round 9, Stafford in round 10, won that league...although i did get Kitna off the waiver wire at the end of the year. Pretty much had a QB carousel all year.

Took Rodgers with the 2nd overall pick and I was the second highest scoring team in my 14 man league. Lost in the first round of the playoffs though thanks to Rodgers concussion.

my policy has been to never take a qb early...few years ago i got warner in like round 10, this year i got kolb in like 9th and then picked up vick when he got hurt and never looked back. Also snagged Orton early on too off waivers

I am in 3 Fantasy Football leagues and I am playing in all 3 Fantasy Football championships this week.

In Yahoo league, drafted Cutler and Stafford in later rounds, dropped both of them and picked up Vick and Bradford.

In ESPN league, drafted Rivers in 2nd round.

In Fanball league, drafted Kolb and Stafford in later rounds, picked up Vick, used Kolb during weeks 5 - 7, started Stafford week 8. Cut both Stafford and Kolb, been riding Vick since.

sounds like the majority of people that didn't take a qb in the first 3 ended up with Vick, myself included. Its rare to find a top tier qb on waivers though. If I had to stick with cutler my season would be done. So I can't really say my strategy on waiting for a qb paid off.

Vick is obviously a unique situation, not likely to be repeated again. I waited on my QB, and I think the strategy would have worked, but for Stafford going down in week 1. That being said, while I do believe you can wait on a QB and still make the playoffs, everything else has to fall into place for that to occur. Plus, when all is said and done, I do think you need a top QB to win it all. Playoffs is one thing--championship is something else.

Hopefully Vick leads us to the promised land this weekend

Took Brady in ROund 2 and Vick in ROund 17....Championship Game
Took Rodgers in Round 1 and Roethlisberger in Round 10-Championship Game

Both of those teams had Arian Foster

2 QB league TOok Brady in ROund 1, Flacco in 2, and Vick in ROund 14.....Championship Game.....

CM 300 point league.....Took Eli late, picked up Vick, bounced in the playoffs......
