Parlays in baseball are easy ways to make some big time cash in a hurry. Most sportsbooks will let you put together any combination of up to eight, 10, or even more teams for a huge payout! The concept of the parlay is simple. You multiply the odds for the first team you're betting on by the odds of the second team, third team, and any subsequent number of teams that you are backing. If you bet $100 on a two team parlay with two teams at +100 odds, you are going to bet $100 to win $300. Put in another +100 team in there, and your $300 multiplies even more!
However, just as there is a huge reward, there is a significantly bigger risk in parlay betting as well. Sportsbooks often don't give you "true" parlay odds, meaning the odds that you would get if you multiply those odds together. In addition to that, you have to get every single leg of your parlay right for victory. If you hit seven out of eight in straight bets, you've had yourself one heck of a night. However, if all you did was parlay those eight teams together, you've lost!
Just be careful with your baseball parlays and be sure to try to cash in big this year!
