Odds to win the 2011 World Series
As of Tuesday afternoon, odds have been updated on who wins the 2011 MLB World Series. Currently the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals are tied up at 1-1 with the National League Championship Series shifting to St. Louis on Wednesday. Albert Pujols drove in 5 runs as his Cardinals defeated Milwaukee 12-3 at Miller Park in game two. The Cardinals won as a +124 underdog, while the game easily went over the total of 8.5 runs. In the opener, Milwaukee won 9-6 with Zack Greinke continuing his amazing luck at home. The Brewers are now 17-0 in his home starts.
In the American League Championship series, the Rangers won both games at home, racing out to a 2-0 lead. Nelson Cruz hit two home runs including a walk-off grand slam, leading Texas to a game two win. The series continues tonight in Detroit.
Colby Lewis will start for the Rangers. Lewis is 15-10 this season with a 4.32 ERA. Doug Fister gets the nod for Detroit. Fister is 11-13 with a 2.84 ERA.
The oddsmakers now have the Texas Rangers as the favorite to win the 2011 World Series. At Bodog Sportsbook, Texas is 2.2/1 while St. Louis is now 3.25/1, Milwaukee 4/1 and Detroit is 10/1.
