The concept of World Series odds are simple. You pick the team that is going to win the World Series. One of the 30 teams across MLB betting action will win and cash in a huge bet, while there will be 29 other teams that leave you with losers and will be looking forward to the next season.
However, you don't always bet on the World Series odds just to have the winner of the World Series. Often times, sportsbooks will put up "no" options, meaning that you'd be betting on a team to not win the World Series, essentially giving you the other 29 teams to win it all instead of just that one. Those "no" options often perk up around the All Star Break, but for the best teams in the league, those options might be up all year long. If you can bet on a team to win the World Series at the beginning of the season at 100 to 1, and they come out of the blocks on fire and are down to 20 to 1, you might find a "no" option at 1 to 40 out there, giving you a chance to hedge your bets or guarantee a profit.
Our other tip for World Series odds is to make sure that you have a ton of sportsbooks. Every book has its own options, and there is a huge difference between finding a team at 100 to 1 and 500 to 1.
