The Florida Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers will play the second game of a three game set at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida.

The big news surrounding the LA Dodgers continues to be about Manny Ramirez. The LA Times reported yesterday that Ramirez finally had a face to face meeting with his teammates and expressed regret and embarrassment over the latest steroid controversy. The Dodgers are still considered one of the favorites to win the National League Pennant. The sports betting website Bodog Sportsbook has the odds set at 4/1 and the Dodgers are 10/1 to win the 2009 MLB World Series.

Two pitchers face off Saturday and both are not expected to go that many innings and we expect both teams bullpen early in this one.

Eric Milton will make his first start since 2007 when he underwent elbow ligament replacement surgery. The Dodgers recalled Milton from Triple-A-Albuquerque late Thursday night where he went 3-2 with a 2.83 ERA in seven starts. But this is the big leagues and will be what the Florida bats need. Florida has hit lefties well this year going 8-4. In his career vs. the Marlins, Milton is 1-3 with a 5.94 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP.

Andrew Miller gets the start for Florida and so far he has not had the success in the big leagues that the Marlins hoped for when they traded Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis for Miller and Cameron Maybin. Maybin was sent down to the minors last week and Miller is coming off the DL. Before going on the DL, Miller threw 11 2/3 innings, walking eight batters and giving up 14 hits.  The Dodgers also have a lot of luck against left-handed starters going 9-2 on the year and Miller has been toasted the two times he faced the Dodgers in his career. He has a 25.05 ERA and 4.498 WHIP in those starts.

Florida has gone over the total 54.3% of the time this year while the Dodgers have gone over 56.7% of the time.

The Dodgers have hit .314 with 40 runs and 27 extra-base hits, including five home runs over the last seven games.

The betting total is 9.5 and this game should go over the total.
