NFC East takes center stage in Week 11 action

Offshore sportsbooks will have to be on their toes this week, as one NFL betting line in the NFC East is a mystery due to a possible absence of a star player. In more NFL betting action, a pair of teams that were slated to dominate the AFC will square off, while two more squads that were supposed to be up-and-comers in the AFC will go head-to-head.

Cowboys vs Giants

Some offshore sportsbook odds have not put up NFL lines for this contest yet, as the Redskins’ Clinton Portis could miss this game with a knee injury. Portis has been banged up this year, and it seems to be catching up with him. Dallas should get Tony Romo back, which is great news for an offense that has struggled without him in recent weeks. These NFC East rivals have split their last ten meetings, but the Redskins have had the upper hand recently by taking three of their last four against the Cowboys.

Chargers vs Steelers

The Chargers are 5-point underdogs on the road in Pittsburgh, where they have dropped nine of their last ten visits. However, the Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger has been throwing picks lately like it is going out of style, and he may not even play this week due to injury. The Steelers should have Willie Parker back in the backfield, but with Byron Leftwich at the helm, it is hard to see Pittsburgh putting up big numbers, even with San Diego’s horrible defense. The Chargers have been arguably the biggest disappointing team in the league, but this is a great chance to show they still have juice left for NFL betting players.

Browns vs Bills

Monday night football betting has the Browns as 5-point road underdogs, and Cleveland wasted a great effort in Brady Quinn’s first NFL start against Denver as they lost a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter for the second straight contest. Buffalo is slumping terribly with three consecutive losses, but Cleveland players have been talking about giving up in the Denver game, which cannot be good for locker-room harmony.
