The New England Patriots are out for revenge. The Patriots missed the playoffs last season with an 11-5 record and without Tom Brady. Brady was lost in the first game with a serious leg injury.

So what do the betting experts in Vegas think? The oddsmakers in Vegas and offshore bookmakers such as Bodog Sports have installed New England as 4/1 Super Bowl favorite for the coming up season.

New England went 9-7 against the spread last year which included a 3-5 ATS record at home and 6-2 ATS away. They were favored 14 times and covered 8. Twice they were listed as an underdog and went 1-1 ATS in those games.

The Patriots were very busy on draft day which saw them trade down several times ending up with 13 picks including four in the second round.

The big news with Patriot fans is the comeback of future hall of fame quarterback Tom Brady. Bill Belichick has to be confident that Brady will be back to Pro Bowl level or he wouldn't have traded backup quarterback Matt Cassell who they gave away to the Kansas City Chiefs for a second round draft pick.

Sports Betting fans have been betting on the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl XLIV as sports handicappers discuss NFL future betting on the sports handicapping message boards at CappersMall.com.

Bookmaker.com has New England as -285 to win the AFC Championship while The Greek Sports Book has posted the Patriots as -340 to win the AFC East this year and their NFL regular season win total betting prop is set at 11.5
