There are just two weeks left in the regular season and teams will need to bounce back quickly with 13 games on Saturday due to the Sunday holiday.
Last week’s picks went 7-6 ATS, but an awful 0-3 in Best Bets. The year-to-date record is 104-101-7ATS overall and 19-18-2 ATS in Best Bets.
This week’s top picks are Arizona,Denver and the Giants

Oakland(+2 ½)at Kansas City
Both are remarkably still alive for the postseason. Oakland (7-7 SU, 8-5-1 ATS) has lost three straight (0-2-1 ATS). Kansas City (6-8 SU, 8-6 ATS) won the first meeting between the teams 28-0 and had the huge upset of Green Bay inRomeo Crennel’s debut. This could go either way.
Pick: Oakland (+2 ½)
Jacksonville (+7) at Tennessee
Jacksonville (4-10 SU, 5-8-1 ATS) is 1-6 SU and 2-4-1 ATS away in its last seven, the one win coming at Indy who was trying to lose for draft positioning. Tennessee (7-7 SU and ATS) will start quarterback Matt Hasselbeckdespite him struggling and dealing with a calf injury. I’ll take the touchdown spread.
Pick:Jacksonville (+7)
Miami (+9 ½) at New England
Miami (5-9 SU, 7-6-1 ATS) keeps playing hard even under new coach Todd Bowles, but he’s likely gone at year-end. New England (11-3 SU, 8-6 ATS) can clinch the AFC’s top seed with two more wins and this should end up in double-digits.
Pick:New England(-9 ½)
Arizona (+4) at Cincinnati
Arizona (7-7 SU, 8-6 ATS) has faint playoff hopes, but is 6-1 SU (5-2 ATS) in its last seven. John Skelton should start again over Kevin Kolb (head).Cincinnati (8-6 SU, 7-5-2 ATS) got a win and cover at awful St. Louis last week, but is still just 2-4 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in its last six. This should be close.
Pick:Arizona (+4)
Denver(-3)at Buffalo
Denver (8-6 SU, 7-7 ATS) had a six-game winning streak snapped against New England, but turnovers were a huge reason why. Buffalo (5-9 SU, 5-8-1 ATS) has lost seven straight games (1-6 ATS) and there’s not much fight left.
Pick: Denver (-3)
St. Louis(NL)at Pittsburgh
St. Louis (2-12 SU and ATS) will eventually be a big ‘dog here, but KellenClemens and company will be lucky to score 10 points. Pittsburgh (10-4 SU, 6-8 ATS) quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is now doubtful with his ankle injury with Charlie Batch the probable backup.
Pick: NL
NY Giants (+3) at NY Jets
The Giants (8-6 SU, 6-8 ATS) control their own destiny in the NFC East, but are eliminated from playoff contention with a loss. The Jets (7-7 SU, 6-7-1 ATS) are already getting tough talk from coach Rex Ryan, but quarterback Eli Manning will be the difference.
Pick: NY Giants (+3)
Minnesota(+6 ½) at Washington
Minnesota (2-12 SU, 5-7-2 ATS) has been giving up a ton of points lately and they need to run the ball with Adrian Peterson and shorten the game. Washington (5-9 SU, 7-7 ATS) played very tough as ‘dogs the last two weeks versus the Pats and Giants and should win by at least a touchdown.
Pick:Washington(-6 ½)
Tampa Bay(+7 ½) at Carolina
Tampa Bay (4-10 SU and ATS) has lost eight games in a row with just one cover over that span. Can you say freefall? Carolina (5-9 SU, 8-6 ATS) is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four with all the wins coming on the road. There is little fight left in the Bucs.
Pick:Carolina(-7 ½)
Cleveland(+12 ½)at Baltimore
Cleveland (4-10 SU, 5-7-2 ATS) quarterback Seneca Wallace will get the start again even if Colt McCoy is healthy. Baltimore (10-4 SU, 7-6-1 ATS) can win the AFC North by winning out and is 7-0 SU and 4-2-1 ATS at home compared to 3-4 SU and ATS away. This is too many points though.
Pick: Cleveland (+12 ½)
San Diego(+2 ½)at Detroit
San Diego (7-7 SU, 5-9 ATS) has made a nice run at 3-0 SU and ATS, but is it too little, too late for making the playoffs?Detroit (9-5 SU, 6-6-2 ATS) clinches it first playoff berth since 1999 with a win here. This could go either way.
Pick:San Diego(+2 ½)
Philadelphia(+1 ½) at Dallas
Philadelphia (6-8 SU and ATS) has come on strong the last two weeks, but still needs a miracle to make the playoffs.Dallas (8-6 SU, 5-8-1 ATS) can clinch the NFC East with a win and a Giants loss, but nothing has come easy this year.
Pick: Philadelphia(+1 ½)
San Francisco (-2) at Seattle
San Francisco (11-3 SU, 11-2-1 ATS) has been world-beaters at home (7-1 SU), but lost its last two away at Arizona and Baltimore. Seattle (7-7 SU, 9-4-1 ATS) has won three straight, but the 49ers are the better pick at less than a field goal.
Pick: San Francisco(-2)
Chicago (+13) at Green Bay – Sunday night
Chicago (7-7 SU and ATS) has lost four straight (1-3 ATS) and will replace quarterback Caleb Hanie with Josh McCown. Green Bay’s (13-1 SU, 9-5 ATS) unbeaten season is over, but still needs a win for the No. 1 seed. I think this is closer than expected though.
Pick: Chicago (+13)
Atlanta(+6 ½) at New Orleans – Monday night
Atlanta (9-5 SU, 6-7-1 ATS) has finally started to show its playoff form the last couple of weeks, but this is a really tough venue. New Orleans (11-3 SU, 10-4 ATS) is red-hot at 6-0 SU and ATS in its last six and clinches the NFC South with a win.
Pick: New Orleans (-6 ½)
