Week 12 in the NFL continues Sunday, as the Indianapolis Colts look to remain undefeated when they face the Houston Texans in an AFC South matchup.
Indianapolis made it to 10-0 last week after edging Baltimore 17-15. Even though the game was close the Colts still covered the spread because they were only a 1.5-point favorite. Peyton Manning passed for 294 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, while Joseph Addai rushed for 74 yards and a TD on 19 carries.
The Texans dropped another close game last week after losing to Tennessee 20-17 as a 3.5-point favorite. Kris Brown had a chance to send the game to overtime, but missed a 49-yard field goal attempt with one second to go.
The Texans and Colts met up in Indianapolis back in Week 9 and the Colts escaped with a 20-17 win. Brown also missed what would have been a game-tying field goal as time expired, that one from 42 yards out.
Manning passed for 318 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while Schaub put up 311 yards with a touchdown and two picks. That win was the Colts' fifth straight versus Houston and improved their all-time record versus the Texans to 14-1. In Sunday's game the Colts are a 3.5-point road favorite.
In the AFC North on Sunday the Steelers and Ravens clash with both chasing Cincinnati for the division lead. Both teams are also coming off losses last week, and Pittsburgh will be trying to avoid losing their third in a row.
Pittsburgh shockingly lost to Kansas City 27-24 in overtime as an 11.5-point favorite last week. Not only were the Steelers embarrassed in the game, but starting QB Ben Roethlisberger had his bell wrung and backup Charlie Batch was lost for at least a few weeks with a broken wrist. After practicing during the week Roethlisberger is expected to start this week, which is great news for Pittsburgh because otherwise Dennis Dixon would be forced to make his first career start.
The Ravens lost to the Colts last week due to an ineffective offense. All you have to do is look at the box score to figure that out. All 15 of the Ravens' points came from field goals from kicker Billy Cundiff. Joe Flacco passed for 256 yards with an interception, while Ray Rice rushed for 71 yards on 21 carries.
This is the first game this season between Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and the Steelers have won the last three matchups. However, before Pittsburgh's win at Baltimore last season the Ravens had won five straight at home versus the Steelers. Due to the Roethlisberger injury this game was kept off the board early in the week.
In non-divisional matchups this weekend, of which there are only two, the top game is Arizona at Tennessee. The Titans are back to being relevant again after winning their last four games, while the Cardinals have a three-game winning streak going.
Tennessee won their fourth straight on Monday night after defeating Arizona 20-17. Vince Young passed for 116 yards with a touchdown and NFL rushing leader Chris Johnson had 151 yards on 29 carries.
The Cardinals continue to run away with the NFC West and at 7-3 they're inching closer to clinching. Last week they knocked off St. Louis 21-13 as a 9-point favorite. Kurt Warner passed for 203 yards and two touchdowns before taking a shot to the head that forced him out of the game. Warner has passed all the necessary tests this week and barring a setback he will start for Arizona on Sunday.
The Cardinals have been one of the best teams on the road this season with a 5-0 record away from Arizona. However, the Titans are a 3-point home favorite at BetJamaica.com in Sunday's game.
