The Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners will meet at Dolphin Stadium in the BCS Championship Game on Thursday. Here's your Daily Sports Roundup. The Gridiron Spotlight The Gators' national title hopes took a hit in late September when they lost to Mississippi, but from there they managed to run off nine consecutive wins to end the season at 12-1 straight-up and 10-2 against-the-spread. That streak was capped off with a 31-20 win over then-No. 1 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, with Tim Tebow throwing for 216 yards and three scores. Wide receiver Percy Harvin missed that game with a sprained ankle, but should play Thursday. The Sooners' only bump in the road came in mid-October against Texas, when they fell 45-35. Since then Oklahoma has won seven games in a row, and they also enter the BCS Championship at 12-1 SU and 10-2 ATS. The Sooners pounded Missouri 62-21 to claim the Big 12 title last time out, with Sam Bradford throwing for 384 yards and connecting on two TD strikes. Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray won't play Thursday night because of his hamstring injury. The oddsmakers have Florida sitting as a 4-point favorite in their own state on Thursday, with the game's total at a high 70.5 points. The Gators and Sooners combined to go 18-5-1 on the OVER/UNDER this season, with Oklahoma 11-1. Other Notable Events A pair of Texas teams will host a pair of middling coastal clubs on Thursday night in the NBA, with New York at Dallas and the Clippers at San Antonio. The Spurs have won eight of their past 10 games and are currently on a three-game winning streak - which has moved them to 23-11 SU and 16-17-1 ATS on the season. San Antonio already handled the Clippers once this season, beating them 86-83 in Los Angeles back in November. The Knicks and Mavericks met back in November as well, with Dallas pulling out a 124-114 road victory in that contest. The Rest of the Schedule The NHL loads up on Thursday with 11 games on the schedule, including Toronto on the road in Montreal in a renewal of their classic rivalry.
