A Thursday night in February can only mean one thing: NBA betting action broadcast on TNT! There are a pair of great games on the pro hardwood to dig into, but that is only the tip of the iceberg from what is a great sports betting card for today.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Duke Blue Devils 7:00 ET: ACC betting action heads to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday night, where the Yellow Jackets and Blue Devils will butt heads for the second time this year. Duke has a lot to be smarting over right now, as it is coming off of an awful performance against Georgetown over the weekend in which the Hoyas shot a blistering 71.7% from the floor. The Dookies also can't be too happy about the fact that the Jackets knocked them off earlier this year 71-67. The oddsmakers at Diamond Sportsbook are expecting a bit of revenge tonight for the hosts, as they have been lined at -12.5.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Nashville Predators 8:00 ET: The best matchup on the ice on Thursday involves two teams that flat out just don't like each other. The Predators and Avalanche are both in a duel for the final few playoff positions in the Western Conference. They've both slid down the standings just a bit of late, as Colorado is just 1-3 in its L/4, while Nashville is 1-5 in its L/6. The L/4 NHL betting battles between these teams have been decided by just one goal, but tonight, the Preds are -135 choices to come away victorious at BoDog.com.
Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers 8:00 ET: Two of the brightest young talents in the NBA will be on display in the first game of the TNT double dip when G Dwyane Wade leads his Heat into battle at "The Q" with F LeBron James and the Cavs. Both Wade and James are scheduled to become free agents at the end of the season, and they'll both be highly sought after if their current rosters can't lock up their contracts. If this one is anything like the NBA betting battle that these two teams had just a week and a half ago (a 92-91 Cleveland victory in Miami), it should be a memorable game. "Flash" and "King James" each had 32 points to lead their teams.
Maryland Terrapins vs. Florida State Seminoles 9:00 ET: The Duke/G-Tech game isn't the only critical ACC wagering affair on Thursday night. The Terps and Noles are probably both sitting on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble right now, but both know that even the slightest of unexpected slips could be devastating. Neither will want to back down on Thursday night in what should be a fantastic battle against one of the ACC's best defenses (Florida State, 60.5 ppg allowed) and one of its best offenses (Maryland, 80.0 ppg). The Noles are expected to protect their home court and avenge a 77-68 loss at Maryland earlier this year, as they are three-point chalks on the overnight line at 5Dimes.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trail Blazers 10:30 ET: With the NBA All-Star Break right around the corner, both the Spurs and Trail Blazers are sitting right on the cusp on the playoff picture. This is a huge momentum game for both teams, as they both are in the midst of very difficult pieces of their respective schedules. This is the second game of the annual Rodeo Road Trip for San Antonio after spending last night in Sacramento. Portland has covered three straight and six out of eight.
