Brazil (+250)

Brazil is a great choice as the favorite. The five-time champion started out slowly with a close 2-1 win over lowly North Korea. They’ve continued to heat up, with the latest example a 3-0 win over Chile in the Round of 16.

Brazil is a -111 favorite over Netherlands (+295) on Friday.

Spain (+280)

Spain was the pre-tourney favorite and survived a loss to Switzerland in the opening round. They became the final team to make the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over a tough Portugal team.

Spain is a -196 favorite over Paraguay (+575) on Saturday.

Argentina (+450)

Diego Maradona was considered a very risky pick as the coach. He’s still a loose cannon with some of the statements he makes, but he’s pushing all the right buttons. They will face a very tough Germany team.

Argentina is a +135 favorite over Germany (+185) on Saturday.

Germany (+700)

A lot of people expected England to be sitting here instead of the Germans, However, a 4-1 win in the Round of 16 showed who was the better squad by far. Germany had an earlier loss in the tourney to Serbia, but no one wants to play them now.

Netherlands (+750)

Netherlands is the only team besides Argentina to win every game so far. This squad has never won the World Cup, despite having the talent to do so many times. Playing Brazil on Friday will be the ultimate test.

Uruguay (+1800)

Uruguay was one of five South American teams to qualify for the World Cup, and they were the last to do so. Uruguay has taken advantage of an easy overall draw and playing Ghana continues that trend.

Uruguay is a -105 favorite over Ghana (+300) on Friday.

Ghana (+4000)

Ghana can become the first African team to ever make the semifinals. This is their first trip to the quarterfinals. A win over USA did a lot for their momentum, but they deserve to be one of the underdogs.

Paraguay (+5000)

Paraguay was the only team to advance to the quarterfinals on penalty kicks. That came against Japan. You never want to rely on that, but they’ll take it any way they can. Will their luck run out against heavily favored Spain on Saturday?
