I could careless about this bullshit. I'm content with my real money that doesn't jump up and down in value like a yo-yo

Best of Luck on that $50k goal ... Only a fool would have stayed in the game after watching $20k turn into $4k in 14 months ... This junk won't sniff $20k again ...

You're correct people do like to lose money, but I think you're missing the point.

People didn't lose money because they bought something worthless for a ton of money, they lost money because bitcoin is an asset that trades in mostly light/unregulated markets so it's going to have wild market cycles. And so when people bought it because they just heard about it and its was going up fast they were the suckers that bought at the end of a market cycle. Just like any market, you buy low sell high, not the other way around as most people new to markets and/or bitcoin did the last 2 years.

If people were smart, they would realize that something doesn't get to be worth almost $20,000 apiece and $500 BILLION in total market cap unless it actually has value! Wake up people, take some time to research something before making ridiculous claims that bitcoin is a scam or worthless. You'll be very happy in 2-4 years that you did. And if you're still not interested that's fine too, investing/speculating/changing the world isn't for everyone. But make no mistake, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies aren't going away.

Not sure why people get excited one way or another. I'm sure by now everyone has their opinion whether its a scam or if its worth getting into.

I actually had my hand on about 15 at one time or another when it was trading for $300 and I got some payouts via BC. At that time I was just trying to get a payout and not take a position in anything.

At this point Im gonna slowly purchase enough to have 1 BC and see where it leads down the road. Ive pissed away $ on stupid shit before so this wont be the 1st time and wtf if turns into something good well thats ok too.

I don't think everyone does have an opinion yet though, at least not an educated opinion. Simply hearing what friends say or what the mainstream media puts out doesn't pain a very full picture at all. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are complex and constantly evolving, it takes a bit of research to get a decent grip on it all.

My point is that I think it's worthwhile to start looking into for the first time or to give it a 2nd look at least. The time is now to research, but I think there's plenty of time to buy at relatively low prices (probably all this year). If you're not interested now that's fine, just don't fall into the temptation of buying later once price is much higher or you'll get burned just like people did last market cycle. The uninformed enrich the informed.

Just trying to look out for ya'll at the Mall.

So let me get this straight. Your definition of a fool is someone who has held bitcoin from $20k to $4k? Lol. And you would call someone who sold at a substantial loss like yourself smart?

You only lose $ if you sell. Oh..you wanted to cut your losses right? Now you are praying that bitcoin never goes back up so you can justify to yourself that you made the right decision to sell cut your losses and wash your hands of it. And now you would rather shit on it because misery loves company. I can read you like a book. I will wager whatever you want that the price goes over $20k again name it.

Keep in mind tons of people started to get involved when it was skyrocketing ($12,$13,$14,$15K+) ... Currently $3,800. Not everybody was sitting on coins they bought for cheap and are profiting on today's value.

It's your money, do whatever you want with it ... Feel free to consider yourself a genius that will soon be sitting on piles of cash in the future.

its like any stock dude, just very volatile and extreme ups and downs

and it has never disappointed.

its has often gone from say x to x+10 and then back down to x+3

so thers always tons of opportunities to buy on its way up and jump off on its way down

Its also worth much more than it sells for, in other words its a market that's manipulated to keep it down at times by big power brokers

much like gold should be worth more but certain folks and institutions want to keep it down to protect the dollar

On my TD Ameritrade notices:

Resistance at $4,200 will be tough to break, says Tim Kelly
Bitcoin prices traded marginally higher on Monday, extending recent gains that saw the best-known cryptocurrency log its fifth consecutive winning week.

In Monday morning trade, a single bitcoin fetched $ 3,968.40, up 0.3% since Sunday's level at 5 p.m. Eastern time. Its weekly win streak is the longest since April 2018.

What are analysts saying:
"BTC's feel at the very moment is that it wants to probe the recent highs and see how strong the resistance is sitting at the $4,200 level," wrote Tim Kelly, founder, and CEO of BitOoda, a digital asset regulated broker-dealer.
"Unless large buying volumes come into the market, probing is all we shall see at that resistance level. We believe it will take a serious force of buying to take those levels out to the upside."

Altcoins and futures
Altcoins -- digital currencies other than bitcoin -- were off to a subdued start to the trading week. Ether, gained 0.3% to $ 135.12, Litecoin fell 0.2% to $ 59.14, Bitcoin Cash was unchanged at $163.10 and XRP was up less than 0.1% at 30 cents.

Bitcoin futures drifted lower early on Monday. The Cboe Global Markets April contract fell 0.4% to $ 3,965, while the CME Group March contract was off 0.3% at $ 3,960.
