That was not a shot at small business owners, regarding my post about the bailouts. Just to those mega rich C.E.O's

I'm not turning this into a political thread because it doesn't belong in here but $350,000,000 for Migration and Refugee Assistance included in the stimulus plan is absolute bullshit.

This isn't just on the Dems, this trash goes for both sides.

You probably work for a company and get your check every 2 weeks well that is not the case for millions of Americans.
That's what I'm talking about Cali. As a whole we probably can recover more quickly from the illness than we can if, we overreact and kill a thriving economy (worldwide). We just went through a f*ckin' decade of downturn due to the real estate debacle. I don't have time for that shit.

Knowing the area that Strike Force lives in, there's a good chance he is retired military. Checks will continue to roll in (as they should).

On Twitter a couple hours ago, @CarpeDonktum asked ...

I'm almost afraid to ask this question, but here goes...

In a world obsessed with viral content, and every person on the planet carrying around a mobile production lab...

Why haven't I seen videos of packed Emergency Rooms where patients are dying while waiting for a bed?

The thread currently has 650+ posts and everybody agrees with it. The thread also contains numerous posts from hospital employees from all across the country. 99% of those posts say their hospitals are no busier than normal and almost no patients with the virus.

yup! saw that tweet. YOu mean to tell me not one person has filmed an over crowded ER or people suffering?

We video the most idiotic and mundane things but no investigative reporter or person sitting around snaps a photo or Vid? GTFO!

Friend of mine's husband is an ER doc down in Dallas. He called off tonight after learning how dead it was as hospital admins had all hands on deck waiting for mayhem in the ER

look, NYC is a different animal right now than most of the country. I have friends who are ER nurses here in seattle that all have different stories but they all say its a tad bit overblown. Chicago who probably has the second largest public transportation ridership outside of NYC has seen a fraction of the cases. weird!

If this hits the homeless pop in LA or San Fran then Cali is absolutely fucked!

Pics out of Chicago today shows thousands of people along the lakefront paths and the 606 path all running and biking on top of each other. Mayor gonna close that shit down.

look, let's face it. people are NEVER going to comply with shelter in place. ever! The only way it comes close to happening is arresting people and making a public spectacle about it. That being said, no city has the resources to do it and its gonna be like being the 3rd car out of 5 in a row that gets pulled over for speeding when others were doing it

is this the way it will be from now on ?
you turn on tv or read news on the internet and you truly have NO idea if what you are hearing or reading is the truth
that is sad that media has become both truthful and untruthful and I am not sure which more is more so

minor detail as I am more hopeful my youngest and her family get a check but I seriously don't know if my wife and I are getting one .Clear as mud to me . Not even sure when they say income levels if they mean gross or net ?

Each eligible adult will receive up to $1,200 from the government.

For every child in a given household, the amount of the total check would go up by $500.

However, there are income limits on receiving the stimulus check. If your adjusted gross income is less than $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers, then you'll get the full amount. For every $100 you earn above those limits, though, the payment drops by $5. That means that for those with no children and income levels above $99,000 for singles and $198,000 for joint filers, no stimulus check would come. Those with incomes between those levels would receive a reduced stimulus check payment.

In the United States income tax system, adjusted gross income (AGI) is an individual's total gross income minus specific deductions. Taxable income is adjusted gross income minus allowances for personal exemptions and itemized deductions. For most individual tax purposes, AGI is more relevant than gross income.

Here's how you work out your AGI:
Start with your gross income. Income is on lines 7-22 of Form 1040.
Add these together to arrive at your total income.
Subtract your adjustments from your total income (also called “above-the-line deductions”)
You have your AGI.

It should be pretty straight forward for most. Look at your gross income and base it on that.

It is but most people either fall below or above pretty clearly. If you file a complicated tax form and your gross income is in the middle, you will just have to wait and see. My and my wife's status is clear to me
