Marriage Contract and Fre Agency

I think this guy has a pretty good idea which would save a lot or money and aggravation in divorce proceedings although lawyers would not like for obvious reasons.
With dating/matchmaking sites rampant and in many cases working successfully at least in the short run to find someone a mate, perhaps a marriage contract needs to be implemented in case things don't work out over a longer period of time; in short why not make marriage a business arrangement which can be voided quickly and efficiently under terms of the contract.
If it works in baseball and other sports, why not in life itself with one of its most important institutions??

That is, quite possibly, the dumbest thing I have ever read. Every state now has no-fault divorce. You are not "locked in" to a marriage like a contract. You can "terminate" at any time.

No one said a contract would have to exclude no-fault divorce.
At the very least imo it could be considered an option if two people wish to sign a marriage contract with the terms of the contract spelled out as they are in baseball and other sports.
There are some good points made within the article such as giving folks the chance to think if they had hung in there as the contract is about to expire as to whether they want to continue/renew it or not.
It al depends on one's point of view and manner of thinking.

Baseball has contracts and so would marriage under the proposal.
For me that means it does have something to do with baseball by my broad of thinking.

I actually thought of that before and it does raise some good points.
The problem though as I see it might be in the "complexity" and possibly room for interpretation/disagreement between the warring factions that a contract would not.
On a personal note speaking of prenups and to be fair, personally lots of folks advised me to get a prenup before I married my wife, who is from Colombia to ensure that she wasn't marrying me for the "wrong reasons" if you catch my drift.
I didn't listen to them as my wife is devoutly religious and it would thus have been insulting to her to ask her to sign one and demeaning to my own confidence and judgment.
Thirteen years later and having a decent marriage(didn't say perfect one as we like most couples have our ups and downs), in retrospect I did the right thing.

lol-Well I am proud to say that while I don't wear a bike helmet while using my computer, the latter is stationed several feet from my computer and about to be used hopefully any day now when warm weather returns around here in Western Mass.
Why?
Well the above means that MOPED SEASON is here and I can and will cruise in my neon green one all around the town in which I live, the latter activity which includes "zooming" up and down roads where there is no traffic at 40-45 mph or even faster going downhill, gazing a farm animals along the way and other interesting scenery, feeling that nice warm breeze hit my face and in general just going back to my childhood days on my regular bike although this time not having to do anything but turn the throttle and going a lot faster.
Bring it on-I can hardly wait!!!
