PM Help Forum

Does anyone know how to get a response from this site for a technical issue. I sent an email and posted a message in the "PM help forum" and have gotten no response.

Scott

Yes, someone else already started a thread in this forum about it. He has been informed but it is currently still down.

A lot of shit slinging has been going on lately. Just seems damn odd that the search function should all of a sudden stop working!

Jack has not been here in a while dawg. He is the only one who can get in to the motherboard to fix things like this. Someone else said a while ago that the lines or scores were down too. He has been informed but he may have to contact his host to have them fix an issue like this. As far as searches go, you can still go back 100 pages in any forum. I just found last years SB Squares board on i think page 51 or so of NFL forum in a couple minutes. You can still get to anything. You just have to do it manually for now.

Thanks WD.
I would consider running a SB board but, things being what they are; I don't want to be responsible for the $$$.

A lot of people feel that way. I did a squares board here last year and i do about 20 $ pools a year. The person holding the money has nothing to gain and everything to lose. There is no financial gain from it but it does included a lot of headaches and work. Every pool i have done, there are always people who do not send the right amount or they force fees on me (that i am not paying), or they do not listen to instructions. It truly is a thankless job that most playing do not realize.

I have noticed here at CM, that unlike other sites, office pools and, even at your local bars, the tradition of sharing a 10%-20% kickback w/the board "sponsor" just isn't observed.
I know over the years, you have sponsored 100's of pools and contest, for the enjoyment and benefit of others. It does seem to be a truly thankless job. Thank you for the hours that you put in.

They have 3 boards and they are charging 5% fee per square on those. A total of $875

I have had guys do a little kickback before. Not a lot but i have had some do it. I would mention names but i do not want to forget anybody.

Your post initially confused me. I thought it was about people running pools and taking a cut from it for their time. They do this across the street and they are making some nice cash. Just recently

Bowl pool - 10% kept ($240)
2 NFL Pools - 8% kept ($2,088)
CFB pool - 8% kept ($576)

That is just 4 pools since football season started and they made $2.904

Add another $875 for squares and the total is $3,779 made just running football pools the last 5 months. It doesn't include any other pools or contests.
