The FIU Panthers will look for revenge in the second part of a two-game stand against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Panthers suffered a 91-58 loss in the first game against the Hilltoppers as they failed to get anything to drop. The Panthers are 9-16 to this point of the season and would like to add a win against the number one team in the conference. The Hilltoppers are 16-5 on the year and will look to add another conference win to their total.

The Panthers are even worse facing the odds this season as they sit at 5-16 ATS, they have been playing in quite a few high-scoring contest which has allowed them to reach the over in 12 of 21 contest. The Hilltoppers will look to get back at .500 facing the spread this season as they currently sit at 10-11. Western Kentucky has nearly split the over/under with a record of 11-10 in favor of the over.

Panthers In Rough Spot
The FIU Panthers are riding a six game losing streak and just suffered a 33 point defeat to the Hilltoppers in the first game of this back-to-back contest. The Panthers are scoring 71.5 points a game but their defense has been giving up 78.0 points. The Panthers have been forcing 15.6 turnovers but the offense has been turning the ball over 15.3 time a game. The Panthers continue to beat themselves as they show the ability to play good ball but fail to keep us the game goes on. FIU shoots more three pointers than almost every team in the NCAA with 29.2 attempts per game while they are sinking 9.7 of those. It seems as if they are relying on the deep ball a little too much which typically gets them in trouble.
The Panthers have been led by Guard Antonio Daye Jr who is filling up the stat book with 17.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per contest. However, Daye Jr has been averaging 4.5 turnovers per game. Nearly 5 of the team's 15.3 turnovers are coming from one player, if the Panthers want to stand a chance against the number one team in their conference they will need to tighten up on the turnovers and win every 50/50 scenario.

Hilltoppers Taking Care of Business
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers demolished the Panthers in the first game by 33 points and will look to do the same this time out. The Hilltoppers are the number one team in the CUSA and shown the Panthers what that truly means. The Hilltoppers are scoring 74.1 points while their defense has allowed 70.0 points. Western Kentucky has punished teams on the glass as they are grabbing 37.5 rebounds a game while only giving up 30.9. The Hilltoppers frustrate opposing teams with their play inside the lane which typically leads to opposing teams in foul trouble as the Hilltoppers are shooting 19.9 free throws per game.
Western Kentucky has a combination of players that can really get in going offensively, Center Charles Bassey has become a problem to guard with 17.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game. While Guard Taveion Hollingsworth has been producing 14.1 points and 3.5 rebounds. As long as these two can get going as they did the first time out they should have no issue taking down the Panthers who are nearly beating themselves.
