The Blues are on a West Coast Road trip and after a 7-6 victory against the Sharks, the Blues won against the Anaheim Ducks 5-4. The Blues will hope to continue their winning ways and win once again against the Ducks but the Ducks are hoping to snap out of their losing ways and even the score with the Blues. Both teams are on opposite ends of the standings but if Monday night was any indication, we are in for a good game.

Blues offense is hitting it's stride
The Blues have scored 12 goals in the last two games. The offense is scoring 3.2 goals per game and is truly hitting their stride at the right time. Braden Schenn is leading the way with 10 goals while 22-year-old Jordan Kyrou has made his mark by scoring 8 goals this season. In addition, centers Mike Hoffman and Ryan O'Reilly have combined for 13 goals this season to give the Blue scoring options at all the forward lines.

The defense has struggled in recent games but has otherwise been a strong unit this year, making an impact on both ends of the ice. Justin Faulk and Torey Krug are a great top pairing, combining for 3.4 defensive point shares and 52 blocked shots while Marco Scandella has burst onto the scene to add depth on the defense. Despite being pulled from the victory against the Sharks and getting the night off against the Ducks, Jordan Binnington is having a strong season as the starting goaltender for the Blues, allowing only 2.6 goals per game.

Ducks find offense late in loss
The Ducks have been a terrible team on the offensive end this season, scoring 2 goals per game as part of a 7 game losing streak. However, the 4 goals effort in the recent defeat was a slight glimmer of hope as Isac Lundestrom posted a hat trick with a 3 goal night.

Despite the defense allowing 5 goals in the recent defeat, the unit has kept the Ducks in many of their games this season, allowing 2.9 goals per game. Jani Hakanpaa and Cam Fowler have made up a strong top pairing, combining for 2.6 defensive point shares, while Kevin Shattenkirk and Hampus Lindholm have combined for 2 defensive point shares to give the Ducks a deep defensive lineup. In addition, John Gibson has been a reliable starting goaltender, allowing 2.7 goals per game.

Two of the top teams in the NHL Western Division face off Wednesday night as the Minnesota Wild travel to Vegas to face the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights are on a three-game winning streak, while the Wild are looking to bounce back to split the series with Vegas after losing in overtime last night. Minnesota had a six-game winning streak going into last night's game, and will look to pick it back up.

Wild Look to Re-Ignite Winning Ways
After winning six straight games, the Wild fell in a heartbreaker in overtime to Vegas last night. They scored all four of their goals in the second period and held a two-goal advantage going into the third, where Vegas tied it up before winning in overtime.
Three of Minnesota's goals came from plain old persistence and swarming the net, putting in rebounds and simply overwhelming Vegas goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. The fourth was a beautiful bar-down snipe by Marcus Foligno, who ended the night with two goals to his name. Nick Bonino and Jordan Greenway each had one apiece. Kirill Kaprizov leads the team with 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists).

Minnesota averages 3.21 goals per game, and allows an average of 2.58 per game. Their offensive success has come in spite of their power play performance, which ranks dead last in the league at 7.9%. Their penalty kill, however, is in the top 10 at 82.6%.

Vegas Trying to Hold Onto Top Spot in Division
Last night's win over Minnesota gives Vegas three straight victories. Marc-Andre Fleury had a rare bad outing, allowing four goals to a strong Wild attack, but the offense was able to bail him out.
They fell behind 4-2 in the second period, but were able to hold off the Wild for the third and tied the game with two goals to force overtime. Max Pacioretty had two goals, including the game-winner, along with an assist for three points. Mark Stone posted five assists, and leads the team with 22 points (four goals, 18 assists).

Vegas ranks eighth in the NHL with 27 points. They score an average of 3.11 goals per game, and allow 2.17 per game, the second-based rate in the league. They're right in the middle of the pack with a 20.7% success rate on the power play, and the fourth-best penalty kill rate at 87.5%. Marc-Andre Fleury continues solid play and is one of the best goalies in the league, with a 1.77 GAA, and 93.503% save percentage.

The Arizona Coyotes will travel to the Staples Center on Wednesday night to take on the Los Angeles Kings in a West Division matchup. These teams faced off twice in Arizona so far this season with the Kings picking up a win in both of those games in mid-February. The Arizona Coyotes (9-9-3, 21 points) are sixth in the West Division and are sitting at 3-3-0 on the road this year. They are on a two-game losing streak after dropping their last game to the Colorado Avalanche 6-2 on Saturday. The Los Angeles Kings (9-7-4, 22 points) are fifth in the West Division and are a shaky 3-2-3 at home this season. They are also riding a two-game losing streak after they lost on the road to the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on Saturday when they allowed a goal in the final second of overtime.

These teams are separated by a single point in the standings so this will be an interesting matchup. Let’s take a deeper dive into Arizona and Los Angeles to decide where we should be placing our wagers.

Take Me to the Promise Gar-land
The Arizona Coyotes have been stagnant in the early stages of this season and one of the bright spots is the play of right winger Conor Garland, who has been playing extremely well to begin the season. The team does not have any players listed on the injury report so this Arizona team is fully loaded. Garland is leading the team in points and assists as he has 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) this season and has recorded five points in his last five games. In the last game against the Colorado Avalanche, he finished with an assist with one shot in 16:37 on the ice. Garland has shown the ability to be one of the better passers and it’ll be time to see if the Coyotes can figure out a way to take advantage of one of the more solid goalie situations in the league.
Darcy Kuemper has spent the majority of the time in the net this season for the Coyotes and hasn't been playing particularly well lately. In his last game against the Ducks, he allowed three goals on 21 shots in a shootout win to bring his record to 6-7-2 so far this season. On the season, he allowed 38 goals in 435 shots. Arizona has allowed 64 goals this season, which is 18th in the league. They have been above-average against opposing power plays as they have killed 58-of-71 (81.69 percent) of them so far this season. The Kings are an average offense so this will be a chance for the Coyotes to right the ship. He was a limited participant in practice on Monday while recovering with a lower body injury so it will be interesting to see if he is able to play on Wednesday.

Center of Attention
The Los Angeles Kings have been stagnant in the early stages of this season and one of the bright spots is the play of center Anze Kopitar, who has been playing extremely well to begin the season. The team has only two players, both who are out at least for a couple of weeks, so the lines should be solidified. Kopitar is leading the team in points and is tied for fifth in the league in assists as he has 23 points (four goals, 19 assists) this season and snapped his three-game stretch without any points. In the last game against the Minnesota Wild, he finished with a pair of assists with one shot in 23:40 on the ice. Kopitar has shown the ability to be one of the best passers and it’ll be time to see if the Kings can figure out a way to take advantage of one of the best goalie situations in the league.

Jonathan Quick and Calvin Petersen have split time in the net this season for the Kings and haven’t been playing particularly well as a goalie unit. Petersen got the nod in the goal in the last game against the Wild, he allowed four goals on 42 shots in an overtime loss to bring his record to 4-4-2 so far this season. On the season, he allowed 26 goals in 360 shots. Los Angeles has allowed 56 goals this season, which is 12th in the league. They have been above-average against opposing power plays as they have killed 55-of-64 (85.94 percent) of them so far this season. The Coyotes are a below-average offense so this will be a chance for the Kings to get back on track.

The Colorado Avalanche and the San Jose Sharks will meet on the ice at SAP Center at San Jose on Wednesday in a battle of division rivals.

Oddsmakers opened the Avalanche as -214-moneyline favorites versus the Sharks, while the game's total opened at 6.

The Avalanche were a 6-2 loser in their most recent outing on the road against the Sharks. That made winners of bettors who got San Jose at +192 on the moneyline, while the total score (8) was good news for OVER bettors.

The Sharks beat the Avalanche badly in their last game at home and they have dominated Colorado on home ice in the last few seasons.

After scoring six goals for their second win in a row the Colorado defense fell apart in the last game against the Sharks giving up six goals. They are 1-2 against the Sharks this season, had won four in a row facing them before the last game, and are only 4-24 in their last 29 games facing them in San Jose. Colorado has played solid defense on the season and had only given up two goals in two straight games before giving up six in the last one.

The Sharks had lost two in a row before the win over the Avs in the last game. In the two losses they gave up 13 goals and the defense has been the main issue for the team that is giving up an average of 3.79 goals per game. San Jose is in second to last place in the West Division five points back of Colorado, who is in the middle of the pack.

Defense Falls Apart
In the last game, the Avs lost to the Sharks 6-2 where they scored the first two goals but gave up six unanswered goals after that. Samuel Girard and Gabriel Landeskog each scored in the loss and Colorado was 1-4 on the power play. Philipp Grubauer (10-6 2.20 GAA) did not have his best game in between the pipes giving up five goals on only 26 shots. While he ranks eighth in the NHL in GAA he has given up five goals in two of his last three starts. Backup Hunter Miska (1-1-1 3.03 GAA) is injured so look for Grubauer to get another start.
The balanced Colorado attack has nine players that have scored in double digits in points led by Nathan MacKinnon with 21 points and he has one goal and three assists in his last five games. Mikko Rantanen leads the team with eight goals and has 18 points and he has one goal and four assists in his last five games.

The Avs are 6-4-1 on the road this season.

This Time Season High In Win
In the last game the Sharks scored a season high six goals for the second straight game but this time they got the 6-2 win. Six different players for San Jose scored in the game where they were outshot 35-27.

Martin Jones (7-5-1 3.780 GAA) got the win stopping 33 of 35 shots and had given up seven goals in his previous two starts where in the last one was yanked after giving up four goals in just over 30 minutes. Backup Devan Dubnyk (1-4-1 3.46 GAA) may get the call in this game and he was lit up for seven goals in his last start.

Evander Kane has 18 points, and he has four goals and four assists in his last four games. Logan Couture leads the Sharks in both goals (11) and points (19) and while he did not score in the last game he had an assist and had score three goals in his previous two games.

On the season the Sharks are only 2-3-0 at home.
