Basic Question: How to win at sports betting?

I know this is really basic. But sometimes, it's the basic things that we forget.
And the replies on this thread will also help beginners like me.
Any input is appreciated.

Seriously though there are very knowledgeable people on here and following some of their picks has made me a few bucks and for that I thank them. After awhile when you get confident in your own picks I would suggest placing your bets and then logging out of your account untill the results are in.You can get caught up in the live betting and get carried away.Stay away from live betting untill you get better.Bankroll management is probably the most important don't bet what you can't afford to lose. But above all if you lose don't worry tomorrow is another day.If you win a small amount that's cool I always say a small profit is better than a loss of any size.Just follow the advice of some on here and you will do well.

Thumbs up

Figure out what your really good at and just focus on that. If you don't know anything about it don't play it. Don't become an action junkie, know that taking care of your bankroll is more important than picking winners. Don't get emotional with teams, or the swings you will have in a losing streak. Losing is part of the game. What's important is how you carry yourself while winning or losing. It doesn't matter what you go thru, but how you go thru it thats most important. And never follow the lines after the move a lot. No value in that. learn that it's ok to pass on a game. They play the National Anthem just about anywhere the next day. Good Luck with whatever you do. Check the ego at the door, a lot of these post people make just scream how stupid you are and they are always right. Learn to look at them as not having your best interest in really helping with something. It's ok to ask, thats allowed. Just try and learn something thats gonna help you. K?

Never increase your bet size, in a losing spiral; rarely lessen your amounts on a hot steak.

If you get up a few units for the day you bet, don't be a sucker and think, maybe I could win even more. Save it for your next day and be happy your ahead for the day.

I think going broke once gets your serious attention and you become more selective and not an action junkie.... Personalities are different here and I'm just passing on what a successful gambler once told me.."don't try to kill em, take a small profit when you can".

I find that using an Ouija Board does wonders for all sports across the board, it will pick the Teams SU or the spread and/or Totals

A lot of dedication to the craft and decent or outstanding methods.

No matter the dedication, without decent or outstanding methods its a lost cause.

Self discipline is huge too.
