MLB umpire Brian O’Nora busted in sex sting operation

Major League Baseball umpire Brian O’Nora was one of 14 men arrested over the weekend as part of a sex sting operation, according to the Ohio Attorney General.

In the press release announcing the arrests, “Brian O’Nora, 57, Youngstown” was listed among the suspects. That’s the same biographical information as that of O’Nora the umpire.

NJ Advance Media contacted the Ohio Attorney General’s office to confirm it was O’Nora the umpire who was arrested. Spokesperson Steve Irwin said “that’s my understanding” when asked if the O’Nora who was arrested is O’Nora the umpire.

Here are the details of the bust from the Ohio AG:

Fourteen men were arrested during a single-day human trafficking operation that targeted individuals seeking to buy sex via the internet, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Liberty Township Police Chief Toby Meloro announced today. The operation, which took place on Sunday, was conducted by the Liberty Township Police Department in cooperation with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, a task force under the attorney general’s Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission.” John stings deter those seeking to purchase sex – reducing the demand for human trafficking – and serve as a reminder that these crimes are more prevalent and closer to home than you may think,” Yost said. “Hats off to Chief Meloro and the Liberty Township Police Department on their successful operation.”

O’Nora and the other suspects were charged with “soliciting, a third-degree misdemeanor, and possessing criminal tools, a first-degree misdemeanor.”

I agree with the above about buying a game or setting him up with sex for the game. He deserves a fair trial, and if found guilty fire his ass and put him in jail. You know he would throw a game for a piece of ass, if he is this type of person. Anyone involved in human trafficking is a piece of trash and a terrible human being. People like this are taking advantage of someone's daughter.
