Perhaps the disastrous start for the pitching staff and team as compared to last season's is baseball's version of this:

Newton’s third law of motion tells us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. In physics, this means that when an object collides with a target, there is an equal force going into and away from the target at the same time.

Suggestion for Sox:
Perhaps if the atrocious pitching continues, the Sox ought to consider signing "Way Back" John Wasdin to a contract.
He could also be signed on the cheap for a song.
Yes I know he is in his mid 40's but Wakefield made it that far-why couldn't he?
And just think if things didn't work out and they pitched him at night, the Sox could advertise that in addition to the game for that evening, fans in attendance would be treated to a free fireworks display as pitched balls sailed well over the Green Monster and all over Fenway into the night sky.
ps In all fairness at the moment anyways the Sox already have their free fireworks display with current pitching staff and thus might not need any extra help.

Craig Kimbrel has finally lowered his asking price

If I was a GM of a team interested in Kimbrel, I wouldn't bite at the first discounted price but wait a bit longer until the price drops further.
Imo the longer he holds out, the less likely a team is going to take a chance with him for the simple reason that it is most likely he won't be in top form when he returns.
The best that I think a GM should offer is for a one year contract only for whatever amount and then let him and his agent renegotiate it later in the season once he proves his mettle after being sidelined.

Translation-kbsooner doesn't care but yet he takes the time to read what I have to say. lol
Better-kbsooner knows with 100% certainty that no one else cares about what I have to say even though each and every day this thread gets a significant amount of hits.
I m curious-how many folks besides yourself care what YOU have to say in general not counting a few tag team partners?
I need some real challenges today who can really offer something to what I say-sadly you fall way short of that.

If I am not worth your time, then why do you read my posts and comment on them-is that not a contradiction???

It's like a car accident. Nobody enjoys them but you can't help looking when you drive by.

When I drive by a car accident and see other cars surrounding it, hopefully including an ambulance, I keep my eyes focused straight ahead and avoid looking at the accident if it is all possible.
Perhaps there are others who do the same thing, and it is not as lopsided as you think.

Wait a minute-you said this:

"Nobody enjoys them but you can't help looking when you drive by."

For me the sentence implies that the majority of people do look at the accident-what am I missing?
Sorry if the word "lopsided" is too strong but in all fairness you do it all of the time when using numbers when referring to some of my posts to try to make a point.

You are twisting things.
Again you said this:
"Nobody enjoys them but you can't help looking when you drive by."

"Not enjoying them" as you said in your previous post is simply not the same as saying "you can't help looking when you drive by."
Simply saying "not enjoying them" applies only to those who do actually look at the accident, but leaves out the implication in original post that most people do in fact look at the accident if they see one, the latter which cannot be proven one way or the other.
Above is my interpretation of what you said.
If you had simply said "Nobody enjoys seeing a car accident," then I would not have said what I did originally.
ps-ot-Actually I do believe when it comes to car accidents as it relates to Nascar/auto racing, there are SOME people(NOT ALL) who do go to the track in the hopes of seeing one.
I am not going to debate the last paragraph at all-it is a personal belief based on my impression and mentality of some people out there.

At this point I am not going to say anything else; rather I am going to let people who read the exchange decide beginning with post 460 through this one decide if I am correct in what pointed out, that I am not correct, the same as it regards what you posted, somewhere in between or perhaps that we are both correct based on how one interprets what both of us said.

If 13 years of a continued happy marriage as a result of the romance tour constitutes a complete flop, then what in turn is a marriage which dissolves after less than a year?
Also based on what I have seen of your posts and inability to express yourself beyond one sentence, imo your entire life is a "complete flop."
Just curious-what is your own marriage and/or relationship status these days?
Shock me and unlike many in here don't just avoid a question I ask in turn to an insult directed at me.

Every time I venture into this thread, it feels like I am a spectator of the Special Olympics decathlon event.

Every time I venture into this thread to express an opinion about the Sox, I expect that when someone disagrees with what I have to say relevant to the Sox, I fully anticipate that instead of politely discussing/debating the issue, I will be personally attacked.

Forget playoff/WS talk.
For me the chances of their fighting it out with the O's and Jays to stay out of last place seems a lot more likely.
Talk of the Patriots upcoming season may start on July 4th or even earlier.

I was bashed for stating several times that imo Sandy Leon should be brought up to try to turn around the woeful pitching situation.
Well judging by this move, it looks like DD/ FO and Cora agreed with me.

Red Sox DFA Blake Swihart, recall Sandy Leon – HardballTalk
