I hear a few people picking Boston to be a wildcard team

What? Maybe I am missing something but this team is not good. This is their starting rotation

Nathan Eovaldi
Eduardo Rodriguez
Martin Perez
Ryan Weber
Brian Johnson

Talk about trash. None of those guys are special or top prospects or anything. They are just guys. The bullpen I bitched about all last season still sucks too. There is nothing but a bunch of trash there as well

Add to that they lose Mookie betts and a few have picked them to make the playoffs? You replaced Chris Sale, David Price, Rick Porcello and Mookie Betts with Martin Perez, Ryan Weber, Brian Johnson and Alex Verdugo

They have a few bats but I expect this team to struggle big time. Not sure what their win total was because my book is not offering those anymore but take the under. You have Devers, Boegarts, JD Martinez and a bunch of trash wrapped around them. I just donít see it. The pitching is gonna suck imo.

How you have a payroll that high with a top to bottom pitching staff full of trash is beyond me. I know they are paying Sale and money from Price but still. Yankees all day in the East!

Great minds think alike. I was just looking at their batting practice rotation a few minutes ago and I said "holy fk" they are going to have to win games 11-8, 10-7, 13-11, etc. They have a pretty damn good hitting line-up but that's about it. Where's Luis Tiant when you need him? I haven't seen a more FKED up rotation since the 2003 Detroit Tigers staff!

If anybody thought I was kidding about this shit team, now you know. They suck

That was the listed SP depth chart that I posted above and it wasnít even the guys they threw out there. Instead they went with a couple guys I literally never even heard of

Here is the SP ERAís through 1 turn in the rotation

Nathan Eovaldi 1.50
Martin Perez 7.20
Ryan Weber 14.73
Josh Osich 6.00
Matt Hall 10.13

Add bullpen ERAís of .....

Springs 33.75
Brasier 27.00
Brice 9.82
Covey 9.00

These guys are fucking great!!!!!!!

Someone needs to demobilize the Red Sox. Team ERA is above 6+ runs a game...bring back Clemens, Tiant, Oil "Leak" Boyd, hell, even Tom Seaver, this team is in dire need of 2021 STAT!

ESPN

Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who hasn't played since 2019 because of a knee injury suffered two seasons earlier, announced his retirement Monday.

The 37-year-old Pedroia, a four-time All-Star who was named American Rookie of the Year in 2007 and AL MVP in 2008, played his entire 17-season professional career in the Red Sox organization. He won three World Series rings with the Red Sox and was a four-time Gold Glove winner.

"Dustin is so much more than his American League Most Valuable Player award, his All-Star Game selections, and the Gold Gloves he amassed throughout his impressive 17-year career in our organization," Red Sox owner John Henry said in a statement.

Forgot to post: Garrett Richards to a one-year, $10 million contract with a $10 million club option for 2022.

Also; Enrique Hernandez to a two-year, $14 million contract...guess he'll be the new 2B this season.

They fill holes with scumbag nobody ball players and pay them 10 million a year and you trade franchise players like Mookie Betts for a log of dog shit just so you don’t have to pay them. This team operates like they have no money.

It has turned in to an instant fucking joke of a team. Sell John Henry, sell you fucking asshole. Find another Steve Cohen and sell to someone who will actually give a fuck about winning and not just making a profit

I hear ya Wayne! Kiki is a good utility guy and don't get me started on Richards. He had a couple of decent years with the Angels...it seemed like he was on the on the DL once the Opening Day National Anthem was being sung.

Megastar LeBron James, who has spent much of his basketball career tormenting the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs, is on the verge of joining the Red Sox as a part-owner, a source told MLB.com on Tuesday.

The Boston Globeís Mike Silverman was first to report that James will own an undisclosed portion of Fenway Sports Group, which is the parent company of the Red Sox and the Liverpool Football Club.

Fenway Sports Group has not announced yet that James is a partner, and it is believed there are still some logistical things to finalize before the deal is official.

James, currently with the Los Angeles Lakers, has owned a 2 percent share of the Liverpool soccer franchise since 2011. Maverick Carter, Jamesí close friend and longtime business associate, is also joining FSG.

Aside from being one of the best athletes in the history of sports, the 36-year-old James has also long been prominent in business ventures. By becoming a partner in FSG, James would become part-owner of the Red Sox and the several other FSG subsidiaries, which include Roush Fenway Racing, NESN and Fenway Sports Management.

The addition of James is just one big development for FSG. The corporation also recently approved a $750 million private investment that would make RedBird Capital Partners its third-largest partner.
