Red Sox draft 2 SS in round 2 of the draft last night. Interesting considering Xander just signed a 6 year deal. I guess you draft best available. These guys do have IF flexibility and maybe they are not sure about holding on to Devers in a couple years? All in all it was interesting based on how young their IF is. They do have a need at 1B and you can always use pitching. I kind of wish they would have drafted a couple of arms to be honest but we will see how these guys work out.

MLB Draft: Red Sox go with upside, take infielders Cameron Cannon, Matthew Lugo | WEEI

Was hoping Boston would get the SS San Diego got, C.J. Abrams from Georgia. The kid signed with Bama back in November, was looking forward to seeing this kid play ball in college but money came into it, about 5.75 millon

Yeah he went 6th. They had no shot at him.

They were penalized for being so far over the luxury tax last year. Instead of drafting 33rd they drafted 43rd. I wonder if the pick would have been different drafting 10 spots higher.

Complete game shutout for Sale. What a start!

9 IP 3 H 0 BB 12 K

He also pitched another immaculate inning in the 8th. It was the 6th in Red Sox history and the 2nd one this season for Sale. He also did it a month ago. He is the only one in Red Sox history to do it twice

Sale is the only active pitcher to throw multiple immaculate innings in the same season, and he joins Max Scherzer as the only active players to throw more than one immaculate inning in their career, according to research by ESPN Stats & Information.

Another disgusting loss last night. Matt Barnes fuckin blows another win for the Red Sox and another win for Sale.

That is now 10 blown saves in just over 2 months. I remind you that Kimbrel had 12 in 3 years. Give them 8-9 more wins and they are in 1st place but who needs a closer right?

Fuckin assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That bullpen has the most overrated ERAs I've ever seen. They all for the most have decent ERAs, yet they are an awful bullpen.

According to ESPN stats, Boston now has 16 blown saves and it is not even July yet. That is the 2nd most in baseball. I remind you Kimbrel had 12 in 3 years!!!!!!

Fuck off Dombrowski and Congrats to all the fuckheads who believed in their plan. You are all sheep!

Only dumb fucks are still trying to figure out what to do at the trade deadline. It has been obvious since January you dumb fucks. Only the Dumb fucks, Dombrowski, sheep and pink hats have no clue. All others have been screaming BULLPEN for months

Amazes me how some can claim to be such big fans but they are dumber than a fuckin bag of rocks in reality.

You should. He rarely goes deep and with a shit BP, that would be important

Best part is he got hammered by that W Sox team that is laughable, according to some poster.

White sox lost the series in Boston bob and if Matt Barnes didn't puke all over himself and blow another save in the 9th, they would have been swept. Don't let the facts confuse you.
