Anthony Barr on his decision to stay with the Vikings:

"It was like you're about to go down the altar and marry the wrong woman. I think I'm making a bad choice. I did what I felt was right for myself."

"I want to continue to ride with the guys that we built, you know, we built this organization five years ago," Barr concluded. "When I got here, they were struggling. We came in and we started to change things around. It's a testament to the coaching staff, to all the hard work, to the great players that we have.

Jonny Football Manziel has signed a standard player agreement with the AAF. Manziel will go through the waiver system.

The Memphis Express currently has the worst record, at 1-5. The Salt Lake Stallions are 2-4.

Los Angeles Rams starting inside linebacker Mark Barron reached agreement Sunday on a two-year, $12 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He becomes the second notable veteran defensive player added by the Steelers in free agency, joining former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Steven Nelson, who signed a three-year contract with Pittsburgh.

Originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2012 draft.

The Rams moved Barron from safety to linebacker during the 2015 season and he finished with 113 tackles, five pass deflections and three forced fumbles.

Barron, 29, finished 2016 ranked second on the team with 118 tackles, two interceptions and a sack as the Rams stumbled to a 4-12 finish.

Barron has played an instrumental role in helping the team win back-to-back division titles and earn its first Super Bowl appearance since the 2001 season.

Mark Barron’s signing should not and probably will not affect Steelers desire to get an ILB early in the draft, even in 1st round.

Plee

Patriots owner Robert Kraft could have solicitation of prostitution charges against him dropped, with one key condition: He needs to admit that, if the charges hadn’t been dropped, prosecution would have resulted in a conviction.

Having just signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with the Jets after a yearlong holdout on the franchise tag, Bell told SI that Roethlisberger is a "great quarterback" who has preferences about who gets the ball in the Steelers' offense.

"The organization wants to win. [Coach Mike] Tomlin wants to win," Bell said. "Ben wants to win -- but Ben wants to win his way, and that's tough to play with. Ben won a Super Bowl, but he won when he was younger. Now he's at this stage where he tries to control everything, and [the team] let him get there. So if I'm mad at a player and I'm not throwing him the ball -- if I'm not throwing AB the ball and I'm giving JuJu [Smith-Schuster] all the shine or Jesse [James] or Vance [McDonald] or whoever it is, and you know consciously you're making your other receiver mad but you don't care -- it's hard to win that way."

Bell said in the SI interview that Roethlisberger's presence wasn't the only factor in his wanting to leave but that "yes, it was a factor." Bell added that he wished he'd had a "more open, more genuine, more real" relationship with the quarterback.

Brown took offense that Roethlisberger called him out publicly for his route running after a Week 12 loss in Denver. In a February Q&A with fans on Twitter, Brown tweeted that Roethlisberger has an "owner mentality" for his willingness to criticize coaches and players and that teammates won't challenge him on it. Teammates classified Brown and Roethlisberger's relationship as "love-hate," with touchdowns assuaging the occasional disputes.

Bell told ESPN that he understands Brown's perspective.

"When I was there, there were no major problems like that, maybe little things like being on Facebook, being uncomfortable," said Bell, referring to Brown's Facebook Live broadcast in the locker room after a 2017 playoff win in Kansas City. "I know Ben and AB personally. I know how personalities can get. I can see where things went wrong.

"A lot of things AB said, it had a lot of truth to it. I've had some of those interactions. I don't react like AB does. AB isn't the only bad guy in the situation. Ben isn't the only bad guy, either. It's not just one person. It ain't just me. It's everybody."

It’ll be very embarrassing for them when the Browns get more wins than they do this year

Ben Roethlisberger ‘terrified’ Stormy Daniels after asking her for kiss in hotel

Stormy Daniels said she was “terrified” of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when he asked for a “good night kiss” after walking her to her hotel room, according to an excerpt from her new book.

The alleged 2006 encounter with Big Ben came a day after she says she had sex with future President Trump.

Daniels was introduced to the athlete through Trump at a party at the Lake Tahoe hotel where she was staying, according to CNN, which obtained a copy of her book, “Full Disclosure,” due out Oct. 2.

The two men chatted all night and, toward the end, Trump asked Roethlisberger to walk Daniels to her room.

Just outside her door, Roethlisberger, who’d just won his first Super Bowl that year, asked Daniels for a “good night kiss,” she wrote. She declined — but he pushed lightly on the door.

“I was terrified,” Daniels wrote. “I am rarely terrified.”

The 6-5 Roethlisberger insisted, “Come on.”

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, managed to get inside her room but the gridder “stood outside, not leaving” and knocked for several minutes. He eventually left.

A rep for Roethlisberger didn’t immediately respond to CNN.

Daniels had previously disclosed her encounter with the Steelers star in a 2011 interview with InTouch Magazine, which was published in full in March.

But she didn’t mention the creepy details.

“Ben had just won the Super Bowl that year. Donald excused himself. He had to leave, I don’t remember why, and he made Ben promise to take care of me,” she said. “I stayed another 15-20 minutes and Ben Roethlisberger actually walked me up to my room that night because Donald told him to. Yeah, he walked me all the way to my hotel room.”

Trump and Roethlisberger have both been accused of sexual assault.

In 2009, Roethlisberger was sued by a Lake Tahoe casino waitress who claimed he raped her the year before. That case was settled in 2012, and terms were not disclosed.

A 20-year-old college student also accused him of raping her inside a bar bathroom in Georgia in 2010. He was suspended for four games at the start of the 2010 season, but prosecutors declined to press charges.

Trump has faced multiple accusations of sexual assault or misconduct and was infamously caught on tape boasting about grabbing women “by the p—y.”

Amazing that she got away from the rapist. He must have many more assault victims that he's paid off.

Duke Johnson’s reps have asked the Browns to trade him, a league source told cleveland.com.

The Jets, Texans and Eagles have all been interested in Johnson ever since the Browns signed running back Kareem Hunt in February, a league source said. Other teams have inquired as well.

He’s pretty good, but Cleveland still sucks.
