Houston has agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to Washington

Houston has agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to Washington for John Wall and a first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Russell Westbrook / Achilles tough injury to recover from . I guess we will see if he still has the magic? John Wall has been injury prone also not sure this is that beneficial to either team. Wall is 2 years younger 30 Westbrook 32 both seem like they have been in the NBA longer. I don't see either player doing great this year in the NBA.

Probably a move they each needed to make however Washington needs to improve or else that #1 pick plays big (unless its lottery protected which i have no clue)

Harden dominates the ball and he is basically the PG there. They bring in another PG in Paul and it didn’t work. They try another PG with Westbrook and it didn’t work. Now a 3rd PG with Wall and that probably won’t work either. They need a 3 or 4 to pair with him not another fucking PG

And isn’t Wall like 45 years old and injured every year?

Harden has asked for a trade

It's a dumb trade for both teams, the Rockets aren't going anywhere with the addition of Wall, the guy isn't a good shooter, and he hasn't played in two years, I don't see him and Harden meshing. As far as the Wizards, I have no idea why they would want RW, adding him doesn't change anything with them, they had no chance to compete in the East before the trade, and they still won't compete in the East after the trade, if they were smart, they would look to move both RW and Beal, they would shed a ton of salary, and those two guys could bring them back a couple of young players as well as some draft picks, that could jumpstart a rebuild for them. We'll see how it plays out, but I don't like the trade for either team

Harden wants out, but he's got 3 years left on his contract, so there's no need for the Rockets to move him, and there really isn't anything Harden can do. That said, if he's that unhappy it wouldn't hurt for Houston to shop him and gage the interest around the league, if someone is willing to give up a king's ransom for him, Houston should at least consider it, the West is loaded and the Rockets championship window, if not completely closed, is close to shutting

Nobody wants a miserable player making max money on their roster anymore. This league has changed and the players dictate where they are going to play now, not the teams. If Harden truly wants out, he will get his wish

What a weird trade. Houston gets LeVert and trades him for Oladipo? I would rather have LeVert

Houston didn’t get much beyond draft picks. The Cavs got Allen and Prince? I thought Brooklyn would have wanted all those guys. Not sure why they needed to include others. I like LeVert to the Pacers too

Oladipo in year 4 of 85 million contract. I guess they wanted expiring contract but I would still take LeVert and his contract moving forward. It is a bargain and he is a nice player

Pacers get LeVert this year for 16, next year for 17.5 and the year after for 18.8

That is a bargain compared to what a lot of guys make. I cannot believe Houston didn’t want him. He is so much better than Oladipo imo

I don't think this works out for Brooklyn, defense still matters, and this team won't play any, tough to win a title by outscoring the opposition, at some point you need to get some stops, and I don't see it with this team

Ended up being a great trade for the Wizards

Russ has been excellent this year in Washington. Averaging a triple double again for the season 22/11/11

Also gonna break the Big O all time record

He had 21 rebounds and 24 assists tonight and Washington won again. They should have a shot in the play in game

1st player in 25 years to have 12 rebounds and 12 assists in a half

Clinched a season triple double tonight for the 4th time in his career. Oscar did it once.

32nd triple double of the season tonight. Now 4 shy of all time record
