Sounds like you are totally doing that. I have not heard you say Donovan has done 1 thing wrong. It is amazing to me

If you're relying on Markieff Morris to be your third or even fourth option on offense, you're in trouble. In the series he shot 31% from the field and 29% from three, I doubt giving him more minutes would have made any difference, in fact his poor shooting might have been why he didn't get a lot of playing time

Oh so in 4 or 12 mins he needs to come out on fire or it’s back to the bench? Makes sense. I’m sure you get a good rythym playing all those minutes. He had zero chance in OKC

I would love to know who the last coach was to lose in round one with a player that finished 1st in mvp voting and a player that finished 3rd

What I'm saying is OKC losing had much more to do with the play of Westbrick as opposed to the coaching of Donovan. He was outcoached by Stotts, and Westbrick was outplayed by Lillard, the latter is why they lost the series, star players have to play like stars in the playoffs, Lillard played like a star, Westbrick didn't, he deserves the lion's share of the blame, much more than Donovan. We're both Celtics fans, if Kyrie gets outplayed by Giannis the way Westbrick got outplayed by Lillard, the C's are in trouble, if Kawhi Leonard gets outplayed by Embiid, the Raptors are in trouble, it's a players league and you need your stars to play like stars, Portland's did while OKC's didn't

And if Donovan keeps him out there despite his poor shooting, then you say why did Donovan give Morris so many minutes, the guy couldn't hit a shot but Donovan keeps him in there. I can assure you Markieff Morris not getting enough playing time would be far down on the list of reasons why they lost, he's a decent bench player, nothing more and he has nothing to do with why they lost

If Stevens lost in round 1 three years in a row with the league mvp and another guy who finished 3rd in the voting, I would want his ass shipped out of here in a heartbeat. I don’t care if it was because the star player played like dogshit or not. Something would have to change and the HC is where I would start

With Tuesday's loss, Billy Donovan is now (4-15) in his last 19 playoff games

Yup, and his play won him an MVP. I don't see a coach of the year trophy near Donovan's name

Russell Westbrook MVP voting last 4 years

5th
1st
4th
4th

This year George probably finishes 3rd ... and they can't figure out how to win a playoff series.

I just dont see how Westbrook can be defended in this situation. He wont be traded so Donovan will be fired because something needs to change. But Westbrook was terrible and he was even worse in the 4th quarters. I dont care who your coach is, if your an mvp caliber player you do not lose round 1 year after year

Westbrook is a great player that had a bad series. That doesn’t explain previous years going all the way back to the meltdown OKC had when they were up 3-1 over GS. If a player that finishes top 5 in the mvp voting 4 straight years and is a 7 time all nba 1st or 2nd team player is overrated, sign me up. I’ll take him. Scott brooks lost in the 1st round once as OKC coach and Donovan has done it in 3 straight years.

Stars are not easily had in this league and I would get rid of the coach in a heartbeat over a guy with his resume that averages a TD every season. It is up to presti to find a coach who can press the right buttons and win with these guys.
