I don't. Just glad he and his 120 million over 3 years contract are gone. Guy has nothing left. Daryl Morey got over on OKC again.

I don’t think OKC cares about Paul or his contract — just needed him to match money. The picks is what they wanted.

Source, to The Athletic:

Chris Paul's agent, Leon Rose, will talk to OKC GM Sam Presti in the coming days to determine what's next. If CP wants to go to Miami to join Jimmy Butler, it's clear there's a deal to be done there. The Thunder would engage and have interest.

I don't think Paul is really that good anymore. He hasn't looked very good the last couple years.

This has disaster written all over it, two ball dominant guards on the court together, but only one of them can shoot, good luck with that, glad he ended up in Houston and not Miami

I can't imagine CP ever playing a game for the Thunder, first off why would they take on his huge contract, and why would they want him on a rebuilding team, I would be shocked if CP starts the season in OKC

Makes sense, Miami would send them Dragic, who's in the last year of his contract, so his money would come off the book's at season's end, plus OKC would probably have to send a first round pick to Miami for taking CP's contract, a crazy offseason gets even crazier

Yeah, he's clearly reaching the end of his career, but in the right situation I think he still has a couple good years left, of course he's not the player he was, but I think he can still be an effective player

Stephen A

"Westbrook is quicker, faster, stronger, bigger, younger, healthier and better than Chris Paul. Harden has the outside shot that Westbrook has lacked the last 2 years and Westbrook can still beat anyone off the dribble and get to the hoop. Harden and Paul couldn't stand each other and this was the only place Westbrook wanted to go, to be with his buddy Harden. He knows it is James team and he will have no problem with that. This move puts Houston back in contention again in the West"

I agree!!!

I think this could be a really exciting season. We have moved on from the super teams or big 3 to the dynamic duo's. It should be fun to watch. I know a couple guys are injured but still.

Brooklyn - Durant/Kyrie
Miami - Butler/Paul <--- Assumption
Philly - Embiid/Simmons
Houston - Harden/Westbrook
LAC - Kawhi/George
LAL - Lebron/Davis
Dallas - Doncic/Porzingis They could be fun too!

And then you have some other teams that may not have the biggest names in the league but they are loaded with talent and depth ...

Utah & Denver in the West, and i still think GS will be pretty good when Curry, Thompson, Green and Russell are all healthy. In the East i think Toronto, Milwaukee and Boston have deep rosters.

Maybe but i have no interest in paying a 34 year old Paul, a guy who has not played more than 61 games in any of the last 3 seasons, 124 million over the next 3 years. No thanks.

2019/20 $38,506,482
2020/21 $41,358,814
2021/22 $44,211,146

Tacko Fall is a high priority for Danny Ainge, Celtics

by GABBY GUERARD

At a staggering 7-foot-6, Tacko Fall was a Summer League sensation with the Celtics. Any time he got ready to sub-in, the crowd went wild. And when he went back to the bench, the arena would erupt in boos.

But the fans weren’t the only ones who enjoyed watching Fall play. Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge loved it too.

“You know, some of the plays he makes are hilarious, because you just don’t see them,” Ainge said. “I mean, guards get in a bind and they just throw the ball up in the air and then Tacko grabs them and tip-toe dunks them into the basket. It just looks like it’s a senior in high school playing against fourth-graders sometimes out there.”

Aside from an obvious height advantage, the center also impressed from a skills perspective. Fall averaged 7.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks, while shooting 77 percent from the field, in about 12.6 minutes per game.

Though beyond the stats, Ainge was also pleased with his character and looks forward to watching Fall develop further.

“He’s a great kid, he’s working really hard, we want to take his development very, very seriously,” Ainge said. “He’s a high priority for us to try to really develop into a player.”

Fall was signed on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Celtics earlier this summer, and is working to earn a more permanent situation with the team. Boston currently has one roster spot still open, though there are a number of different possibilities for who might claim it.

Danny Ainge sees Carsen Edwards, Grant Williams contributing to Celtics in 2019-20

The Celtics had a successful Summer League run, finishing 4-1, with help from three out of the four players the team took in the 2019 NBA Draft. And Danny Ainge already believes they'll all contribute next season.

“I think that Grant Williams, I thought played very well this year in the Summer League," he said. "I think that he can help us in some capacity, same with Carsen (Edwards), and Tremont (Waters) also. Tremont was good."

Although Romeo Langford couldn’t participate due to his hand injury, the three other rookies proved their capabilities. Edwards led the team with 19.4 points per game, while shooting 48 percent from the field, and averaging 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Williams was right behind with 13 points shooting 47 percent, while also picking up six rebounds per game. Waters rounded out the team with the third-most points per game at 11.2, while shooting 38 percent and leading the Celtics with both 4.8 assists and two steals on average.

But it wasn’t all about the rookies. Ainge felt that both Robert Williams and Javonte Green had excellent performances during Summer League too.

“I thought Robert Williams played really well in the Summer League, I think that he’ll be able to contribute this year,” Ainge said. “… Javonte Green, I don’t know what’s ahead of his future, but he played really well for us in the Summer League, too, and I mean, he’s proven that he could find a role here in the NBA, too, if that’s what he wants.”

Williams, a second-year center for Boston, led the team with both 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, in addition to scoring nine points a game. Green, an undrafted free agent who has played in Europe the last few years, averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.

But the work doesn't stop with the conclusion of Summer League. Ainge pointed out veterans were training at the Auerbach Center before Summer League began, and they continue to do so now.

“We’ve had more people working out here in our facility this summer than ever before,” he said. “I think a lot of that started when Gordon (Hayward) decided to stay here instead of going out West, and just stay put, and work. We have a lot of coaches around and it just seems like it’s carried over. And we have six or seven guys working out here most every day.”

Carsen Edwards signed a multi year contract with the Celtics, and has now signed a shoe deal with ADIDAS, pretty good for a second round pick who has yet to play a regular season game. Steal of the draft

The Oklahoma City Thunder and forward Patrick Patterson have agreed to a buyout on the final season of his contract, allowing him to become a free agent, the team announced Thursday.

Once his $5.7 million deal clear waivers this week, Patterson's intention is to sign with the LA Clippers, league sources told ESPN
