I think you are right.
Quebec Max sales dropped to 147K for last night's draw. Usually it's north of 550K.

Lotto Max with 65M jackpot had sales of 22.7 M. Usually would be 34M or so.

Purse strings are definitely being tightened (plus all the isolation / self quarantining).

stallion, u guys should close off everything except pharmacy, grocery and cleaning products, anyone shopping for a new pair of jeans or a shower curtain needs to give their head a shake
same applies to canadian tire too
I support buying paint etc if “distancing” means u want to do a few renos

Hey guys , its day 14 of my self isolation... and my 2nd week off work .I filed for EI last week. Not sure how long I'll be off but expecting another 3 to 4 weeks at least. My wife is a essential worker.. she developed a cough earlier this week and she had a test done Thursday. She was suppose to go back to work Monday but now she will be off until her test results are in , that will be 5 to 7 days. I'm sure she will be okay .. just taking extra precautions since she's a essential worker. I've read two Grisham books this week and I ordered 2 more from Amazon yesterday... Camino Island and Rooster Bar... so I'm set for a other couple of weeks. Take care and see you all again later.

I just want to say to anybody in here reading this who are or anyone in here who has family and friends who are working as nurses, doctors, cleaning staff, police, fire, ambulance, grocery store workers etc., my family wants to say thank you to each and every one of you. Every day you are risking your health to try and protect ours. While others are trying to run from it you folks are there everyday fighting for all of us. It is times like this that I am reminded who the true heroes of our society are and as much as I miss sports it is not athletes, musicians, actors and such it is the above-mentioned people. Again from my family to every one of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Not a lay-off, got terminated with four weeks notice

Have three weeks left

Although the corporate speak spewing from the executives is enough to make you throw up about taking care of their employees during this time

That fucking blows man, sorry!

How long where you there for? Is it enough notice?

I’m in an odd spot, our industry is deemed essential, and our governing body said it’s ultimately a business owners call (but that we are deemed essential)

The department of the government that pays us (we invoice them) is closed

How is that logical?

Still waiting to hear what they’re going to do
