Regarding the 24 hour activation, clerk at RCSS mentioned it might take 24 hours - the receipt indicated that as well. But half hour later I checked the activation using the above link and cards were already activated.

Worked perfectly without email. There were several signs throughout store advertising the flash sale. Can be various values that equal $100, does not need to be certain card.

However, store only had 2 $50 cards (which I had not seen at Shoppers) and many $25's. Opted to get just the two because playing $100 at a time multiple store sometimes, it would take way too long to use 4 gift cards for each stop.

Is anyone sticking with the $20-$100/$50 cards, or going for anything they can find?

Thanks guys just loaded up on some Uber and $25 OLG gcs

But got 15% in points on olg too not the 20%

Figure I’ll just use 1 olg card at a time and a cc for $75 to keep it less cumbersome

The RCSS stores that I visited today only have OLG gift cards in the $50 and $25 denominations so I grabbed all the $50 cards that I could get my hands on.

I agree, it would be nice to have stacks of $100 gift cards so lottery cashiers only need to scratch and validate 1 card at a time (for $100 ticket) but we do what we can.

Starting November 29th to December 2nd. Now we patiently await for the flyer.

70,000 for $100 off
130,000 for $200 off
250,000 for $400 off

THINGS TO REMEMBER

1) Taxes are paid on the FULL amount and they are not covered by redemption
2) CANNOT redeem points for any type of GiftCard, prepaid, Xbox subscription
3) CANNOT redeem points for PRESTO
Do you know if this redemption event is only at Shoppers or Loblaws/RCSS as well?

Iím not much of a gadget guy but if the local Shoppers has some good deal on electronics, Iíll see if I can pick up something to flip.

Shoppers only and it’s a complete crapshoot on what they have store to store. For video game consoles, many keep them in the back and are made available by request at the front counter. You can call ahead to ask check stock, but they can sometimes leave you on hold for 10-15 minutes.

This was not available a few days ago as I was searching this on their site. You can now view what stores have what inventory for electronics:

https://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/...nics-lifestyle

Edit: This is an incomplete list of electronics, some stores have many other options, but these seem to be best sellers.

Dear NFLS

The loblaws and RCSS locations I visited had only $50 and $25, whereas interestingly the SDM locations I visited had the variable loaded gift cards and $25 cards, but not $50 cards. It's my observation that in the past I have not seen the variable loaded OLG cards at loblaw/RCSS stores in my city.

Loblaws South of Yonge & York Mills - All OLG cards sold out, said someone cleaned them out for 3K+

Loblaws North of Yonge & Sheppard - Got 8 remaining $50 cards, there's $500+ worth of $25 cards left

I put all the $50 cards on one bill, and the points showed before payment, no separate bills necessary, very easy and fast to collect.

Part of me thinks OLG did this promo solely so we could train all their staff for them before the holidays. Ive personally showed half the stores in my good sized city how to process these cards. Maybe OLG not as dumb as we think. Nah, they dumb.

At zehrs I tested this and loaded $50 on a card and it worked, so then I bought the rest of their reloadable ones and put the max $100 on each and it did not work. They were able to add the points manually though 10 000 at a time but man did I feel the daggers from the 15 people in line behind me. Lol

According to the Shoppers Drug Mart flyer it’s 10000 points for $50 OLG cards this week but Shoppers doesn’t carry the cards and you don’t get the points if you load $50 on one of the $20-$100 cards. Go figure.
