I didn't see it on any flyer closer to me, but I'm able to confirm the Shoppers deal is on again until this Friday, 10k Points for $50, and the points are "received" on December 27th.

If Loblaws and Zehrs are doing it, has anyone tried Fortino's, Superstore, or any of those other associated stores? Rather get them instant, but all Loblaws in GTA are sold out of these.

I looked at the superstore flyer and don't see any mention of the promo. Also I can confirm that the cards can't be used on the olg machines at Niagara.

Every Zehrs in Waterloo Region is sold out. Clerk just mentioned at one particular Zehrs they sold out on the first day as a woman bought 40 OLG gift cards.
Every Shoppers in the area only has $25 cards or loadable cards to $100.00 The points are not automatically awarded on these $25 cards. The local manager has been great the last two days. Not to drive him insane, bought $100 worth yesterday and $100 worth this morning. He has to load in the PC points manually - and only can do 1000 points at a time. So for a simple $100 purchase he has to make 20 entries. I will add to his terror over the next two days!

B1llups deserves major kudos for bringing this to our attention. At least my wife will be happy! No way I'd spent $500 and tax on a Dyson hair dryer. With the Monday points redemption deal and then 70,000 points for spending over $200 on cyber Monday it was pretty much free. PS Don't mention that part to my wife - I want $500 in cigars! lol.

Great thread by the way.
From what I'm reading, there is no bonus 10k points if you put $50 on loadable cards. Bonus points are only awarded on $50 card.
That sucks, no wonder I found lots of $25 cards and not a single $50 gift card.

The offer was for every $50 you spend, you would get 10000 points.
I had at least $500 in $25's and got the points instantly. You probably only saw $25's because all the $50's were gone. I bought the last $300 worth of $25's at my local Loblaws today and received the points.

Just checked my PC Optimum offers for the week and got a RCSS exclusive,
5000 points for every $25 spent, good for 6 days but can only be used in a 1 time deal.
They usually offer you things that you recently purchased because they think you won't need them.

Shoppers Drug Mart - Only preloadable cards for $50 work with separate transactions and points being rewards at a later date.]

Loblaws/Superstore/Zehrs - Only offers $25 or $50 cards, but any amount per $50 works and can be done one bill with points being awarded right away and can be previewed before payment.

For some reason, I don't get Superstore or Loblaws offers on my app. Can someone post a screencap for Superstore today?

So this may become entertaining. The manager at Shoppers said he had to add the points manually because these were $25 cards not $50. He awarded the points manually as I mentioned. Today I hit another Shoppers and ask the clerk if she would enter the points manually. She said, nope, per the advertisement points will be added by December 27th. I later checked the ad and small print and that is exactly what it says. Now I wonder if the award points will be duplicated again - once when done manually and once by December 27th. Will stay tuned I guess........

I'll wager my points I'm working on getting now that you'll get duplicate points 100%

I noticed OLG $50 giftcards at another store that I shop at. Do you think I can take those cards (as they haven't been validated) and bring to Loblaws/Shoppers and have them validated there?

rich, I don't want to call that stealing but I don't know how else to describe it.

Yes you will eventually pay to activate the card somewhere else but it doesn't mean you can and should take them out of the first store. I don't work in retail so I may be out in left field on this but each store is probably given a certain amount of gift cards and if you take them out without activating them, the inventory will be out of whack. We may think nobody will notice and I am not a lawyer so I don't know the legal ramifications but ethically, I have an issue with that.

IMO, the better approach is you should talk to Loblaws/Shoppers management and OLG why the stores you frequent don't have enough $50 OLG gift card to take advantage of the promotion.

Don't see why not. They don't have any value.
But I agree with NFLS, technically it's stealing

I can confirm this. I called a Loblaws and they looked for cards. They said they found a few in the back room, but those cards wouldnít scan with their store. She explained they canít sell them to me as their stores scanner canít scan it. These were for the 25$ and 50$ cards.

I did wonder if you kept the Shoppers loadable ones after use and tried reloading at a Loblaws for instant points but someone pointed out in this thread that this does not work so didnít bother trying.

This week Sobey's is offering a $10 Sobey's gift card with every $50 spent on OLG cards if anyone is interested. It is on the last page of their flyer.

If you go to Reebee.com and enter your postal code you can find all the flyers for your area - it has Sobeys for the Region I live in and the gift card reference deal nkeair found is on the last page. You might be able to print that page as a reference.

It’s also 150 air miles for $150 Sobeys gift card.

Then I think you can use the Sobeys gift card to buy the olg gift cards and stack these deals. Haven’t tried yet.

So I went to Sobey's for the $50 and $10 gift card deal. My local Sobey's says that you must do every $50 in separate transactions for the deal.
The $10 gift cards are valid at,

Sobey's
Foodland
Fresh Co
Lawton Drugs
Safeway
IGA
Thrifty Foods
Needs

Not sure if this helps anyone. But thought I would post it just the same.

Not true. I actually loaded up $100 on each gift card, and they gave me 2x $10 gift card for every single $100 card I did. On top of that, this was all done on one bill, so it was very fast compared to Shoppers deal.

So before you call me a liar, read my post.
I said that MY local store told me that, other stores might be different I don't know. Was only stating what happened to me. So, it was actually true.
