MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas (FightOdds)

"Books in general continue to get action on Jones, driving the line up to well over the -500 market price. Not much respect for the 'dog."

Reyes currently +450 / Jones -650 at SuperBook

"Sportsbooks allowing UFC parlays are hoping the public is wrong."

Shevchenko / Chookagian

"Books will need favorite Shevchenko overall. Most bettors taking a shot at high dog price and hoping for a huge hit. Women's MMA is generally competitive and judges are always a wild card."

Shevchenko -1100 / Chookagian +700

Caesars Palace

"Gonna need Bones at this point unless something drastically changes. And no one wants to lay -1000 with Shevchenko. But both favorites are in most of the parlays, too."

Shevchenko traps Chookagian in a crucifix and there's no stopping her ground strikes ... about as dominant a title defence as you'll see.

That is a bad, bad woman.

His past few fights just prove he is human when not on the gas

His cardio is still unbelievable but no real power or killer instinct any more

Not necessarily.

Controversial? Absolutely. It was razor thin and the judging was whore shit all night so nothing is surprising.

Could have gone either way ... 3-1 or 2-2 going into 5th & Jon won round 5

Reyes threw a lot more strikes but only landed 10 more making him look like he did a lot more. Also Jones was stalking / moving forward / controlling the cage almost the entire fight while Reyes was on his bike ... But ... Jones even with all the constant forward pressure ... no real consistent offense.

The bottom line is we need judges who are MMA specialists. It's as simple as that. These people are not clued up enough on the scoring system. Until that changes, we will continue to see these sorts of decisions.

As a big fan of the sport i'm just disappointed. Supposedly Jon was more focused than ever and had an incredible camp. Reyes called him out and Jon looked average ....... Once Again.

Marcos Rosales:
R1: 9-10 Reyes
R2: 10-9 Jones
R3: 9-10 Reyes
R4:10-9 Jones
R5: 10-9 Jones

Joe Solis
R1: 9-10 Reyes
R2: 10-9 Jones
R3: 10-9 Jones
R4: 10-9 Jones
R5: 10-9 Jones

Chris Lee
R1: 9-10 Reyes
R2: 9-10 Reyes
R3: 10-9 Jones
R4: 10-9 Jones
R5: 10-9 Jones

I can see the case for 3-2 Jones ... But 4-1 Jones is just bad. Real bad. Clueless bad.

Bottom line is Jon was the champ, and throughout UFC history it's no secret with MMA judging you have to CLEARLY beat the champ to become the champ. The challenger has almost no chance when it goes to the scorecards in a coin flip fight.
