Frank Camacho is out of his scheduled fight against Matt Frevola.

Frevola will remain on the card. There are currently negotiations going on with a replacement fighter but not a done deal yet ...

Matt Frevola will now fight Terrance McKinney.

The reason Camacho is out is because he was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles. Injuries are not believed to be serious or life threatening.

Things always change but this is supposedly the plan ...

Top ranked welterweight Colby Covington is next to fight for a shot at the welterweight title according to Dana White. After that fight is made, the winner of the UFC 263 welterweight bout between #3 ranked Leon Edwards and unranked Nate Diaz will face the winner of Covington and champion Kamaru Usman.

“Colby is the number one contender. We did the Masvidal fight, Usman wanted that fight back. Colby Covington, the fight with Colby and Usman is one of the best fight’s I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s the number one contender. It’s the fight to make,” White said in an interview with Submission Radio.

Usman defeated Covington by TKO late in the fifth round of their UFC 245 title bout in December 2019. The rematch is expected to take place later this year.

Edwards is riding an eight-fight winning streak, but his last fight was ruled a no contest. An accidental eye poke rendered Bela Muhammed unable to continue against Edwards early in the second frame back in March.

Diaz last fought in November 2019, losing to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 for the ceremonial “Baddest Motherfucker" title. Nonetheless, Diaz is sitting one win away from fighting for the 170-pound championship.

The Diaz-Edwards fight will determine who fights for the welterweight title after Covington. “Whoever wins is next after Colby,” White said.

Risk manager and MMA oddsmaker for Circa Sports, Nick Kalikas

Israel Adesanya -235/Marvin Vettori +200 back on April 25 ... now Adesanya -250/Vettori +215.

"So far, and not surprisingly, it's all love for Adesanya. Nothing but straight bets and parlays on the favorite. There's not much on Vettori yet at all. And it's public and sharp action on the favorite. We're gonna need Vettori, for sure, but I'm expecting some sharp action to come in on Vettori as the line progresses."

Deiveson Figueiredo opened -215 to Brandon Moreno's +185 on March 23 at Circa ... Figueiredo jumped as high as -260. But the moneyline is now actually shorter than the opening price, at Figueiredo -210/Moreno +180.

"This bout is a lot more even in ticket count and money, but there are a ton of parlays on Figueiredo. On straight bets, there's steady two-way sharp action. But we'll need Moreno, almost no doubt."

Leon Edwards opened -440 with Nate Diaz +355 on the buyback, and the moneyline has only gone north from there. Edwards is out to -535, with Diaz +420. Kalikas noted the movement was even more pronounced at other books.

"Some places opened Edwards -275," he said, before addressing the betting at Circa.

"Obviously, there's a little more straight and parlay action on Edwards, but nothing crazy. We've still got the best price on Edwards, and we're not buried on him. I'm expecting a lot of public Diaz money to come in on fight day.

"As crazy as it sounds, I think we'll need the favorite to come through."

Kalikas pointed to the early prelims section of this 14-bout card for another fight he finds intriguing: Chase Hooper vs. Steven Peterson.

The bout opened at Peterson -155/Hooper +135 and jumped the fence to Hooper -116/Peterson -104, and it's now Hooper -114/Peterson -106.

"It's really seeing a lot of action from the public and sharps, a sick amount of action, and it flipped here. Several large bets on Hooper along the way, and we've adjusted accordingly. But we are starting to see some buyback on Peterson. This has been one of the most-bet fights on this entire card, which is a little bit of a head-scratcher, considering where it is on the card."

"I think we'll probably end up needing Peterson, but hopefully it won't be a drastic decision. I could really see this fight going either way."

Eating mushrooms a few nights ago, smoking a joint at tonight's presser, win or lose, Nathan Diaz is that dude. No shits given. His fight weeks should be a 5 day national holiday.

Reporter: I noticed you lit something up a few minutes ago, what exactly was that?

Diaz: "That's Kill 4209, that's the chronic right there, baby."

The only fighter who missed weight on the day was Steven Peterson, who weighed in at 148.5 for his featherweight matchup with Chase Hooper.

Peterson was fined 20% of his purse for the infraction, the bout will go on as scheduled.

"We will be big time Leon Edwards fans tomorrow night. As many bets on Nate Diaz as tonight's entire Bellator card combined."

FYI ... This will be the case almost everywhere. Diaz Army just as supportive as the Irish are for McGregor.

UFC/Zuffa records, number of UFC/Zuffa fights, Payment tier & expected Fight Week Incentive Pay (FWIP) for the 28 fighters on the card.

This is the ninth event of the Venum era. This is separate $ from their purses.

There are more bets on Diaz tonight than Izzy and Vettori combined.
