Conor vs Khabib/Masvidal/Usman?

Looks like Khabib rematch is next. Will Conor be a big favorite or even favored at all? Will he win?

I have not seen Masvidal fight much so no idea if Conor would win that?

Usman is interesting to me. I have seen 2-3 of his fights and that guy is a savage. I would like to see that fight. I think he would beat Conor but not sure what others think

The boss says McGregor vs. Nurmagomedov is the fight to make ... we'll see.

Biggest takeaway from the post fight press conference is Conor has plenty of options and is open to them all and nobody is a lock next.

Decent chance Dana won't get his way with Khabib as the next fight. Conor is not gonna wait until June it seems.

Gamebred -200 favorite to be McGregor's next opponent

Then:

Khabib +300
Gaethje +600
Usman +900
Diaz +1000

Jorge's stock is through the roof right now ... both are now in the same division.

Sometimes you’ve gotta strike when the iron is hot.

Masvidal -165
McGregor +145

You think Usman would have a shot to beat him? I would take that +900 in a heartbeat.

Usman is a bad man

If Conor doesn't get Jorge, I would really like to see Dana feed Jorge to Usman

Masvidal looked like a complete fool last night ... Sitting cage side in his robe thinking that Conor would call him out ... Conor didn't mention his name besides calling him a fucking weirdo. That guy has completely changed after getting fame. Carrying around that toy BMF belt like it actually means something

Usman beat all the WW’s at Masvidal's gym, why not add another? I would like to see Jorge fight a real monster and see what happens

Masvidal’s manager Abe Kawa says if McGregor doesn’t want the fight and Usman is injured, the Nate Diaz rematch could be a possibility.

Masvidal is just looking for money fights, and he knows if he fights Usman, he is going to lose.

Things are heating up

At a Radio Row media session in Miami, Masvidal and Usman nearly got into it before being separated by bystanders

The media attendees had to intervene to stop the conflict from escalating further

The media day was being held in preparation for this weekend’s Super Bowl

Latest numbers ...

Usman -260
Gamebred +200

Dana just said Conor will "probably" fight Nurmagomedov / Ferguson winner.

What needs to happen is McGregor vs. Gaethje before anything else ... But fat fuck Dana won't allow it because that fight is too risky and Dana can't risk the loss.

All the fake / casual UFC fans want the rematch with Khabib which realistically won’t happen until late 2020 or next year. No one has time to wait for that. Conor is healthy and ready to go, keeping him waiting on the sideline is bad business, but Dana doesn't have a brain in his head so it's not surprising.

Colby Covington says he did not break his jaw in a welterweight title fight at UFC 245 against Kamaru Usman. And he wants an immediate rematch after feeling robbed in the Dec. 14 bout.

Covington said Monday on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show that it's "world championship or bust" for him next. He said he'd be open to another massive money fight if the UFC offered him that, but he was not hopeful that would occur. So, in that case, he said he would sit out until the UFC gives him another bout with Usman. He believes there will be a "sequel and a trilogy" between him and Usman

A summer time fight between McGregor vs. Gaethje is the current front runner.

Things could change, talks very preliminary at this point.

In my opinion, I just don't see it happening ... But ...

Per manager Ali Abdelaziz

If Masvidal were to ask UFC for a Diaz Baddest MotherFucker rematch, over a Kamaru Usman title fight, they'd ask the UFC to offer the 170 pound title shot to McGregor for a chance to win his third title.

Rumours really picking up that Usman vs. McGregor could headline UFC’s July 4th card for the welterweight title.

Nightmare matchup for Conor ... Kamaru weighs close to 205 on fight night. Good chance Conor would get mauled worse than what Khabib did to him.

I guess beating an old worn down Cerrone gets you all the clout, push to the front of the line.

Opening numbers ...

Usman -400
McGregor +330

Dana just confirmed that Gilbert Burns is the frontrunner for the next title shot at Usman.

He points out that Burns is the #1 ranked guy in the division.

Interesting read now. I think posts 6 & 8 by you NYK were interesting too. I also thought the post you made in January with Dana saying these 2 would fight in July was also interesting. Here it is in July and there is the fight. Starting to wonder if that was the plan all along and burns was a decoy. Weird

As I said above, I think Usman is a beast. I had him winning over Burns but I am a little more hesitant now. Why? I am not even sure but Masvidal is cocky and confident and he is making it hard for me to bet against him. Not sure what I am betting yet in that fight but I may have to pay for this one. I really want to see a couple of these fights.

Anyone else have thoughts on this fight? Who do you like?

Dustin Poirier explains how Jorge Masvidal never stopped training for Kamaru Usman

Dustin Poirier assures everyone that Jorge Masvidal will be in fight shape for UFC 251.

Poirier, who trains with Masvidal at American Top Team, says Masvidal has been at the gym the entire time and helped him prepare for his fight against Dan Hooker, which Poirier won 11 days ago at UFC on ESPN 12. Masvidal also been training with high-level wrestlers such as three-time NCAA Division I champion Bo Nickal.

That said, even though a big storyline is how Masvidal will be fighting on just six days’ notice, Poirier is confident he’ll be ready.

“It’s a short notice, because he didn’t have the contract signed, but let me tell you what: This guy was there my whole training camp,” Poirier said on “THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas.” “He was my main sparring partner. We probably put in five weeks of sparring together. He flew in wrestlers, the best wrestlers in the world.”

After Masvidal’s negotiations with the UFC fell through, the promotion turned to Burns. But Poirier says Masvidal continued to train until the UFC eventually circled back and the two sides were able to reach an agreement.

“The guy never stopped training,” Poirier said. “Even when the fight fell through, and they gave it to Burns, it was at the end of training camp, Jorge was still in the gym every day like he had a fight. I don’t know if he knew something that we didn’t, but the guy was in training camp the whole time and never stopped.

“I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people with the kind of shape he’s in. His timing is gonna be good. He was in my camp the whole time helping a few guys, not just me. He’s in fight shape, I know that much. This isn’t a guy coming off the couch. This is a guy who’s been preparing to fight Usman, and the fight fell through, and he kept training.”

According to Dana Friday afternoon, Burns will not lose his granted welterweight title shot and will get Usman / Masvidal winner.
