2 observations

1. 14 fights???
2. Finally a card with some meat & potatoes. The last 2-3 were pretty lame imo. I know they have to fill a quota for espn but they still sucked

Woodley just bores the hell out of me. Nothing exciting about him at all, but Covington seems to have left his best days behind him. Tough one but I think it’s Covington or nothing for me

MAGA vs. BLM

It’s going to come down to output. Colby’s output is crazy and he never gets tired. Tyron fights at a very slow, methodical pace and falls apart / gasses late in fights.

IMO the only way to a Woodley victory is by finish, otherwise it’s a one sided beating. But no way laying the wood with numbers north of 300.

1874 fighters in UFC history have landed at least 1 significant strike.

None have a higher landed strike ratio than Khamzat Chimaev's 83-to-1.

The next closest for anyone with at least 2 fights is Benji Radach's 7.2-to-1

There are 837 fighters in UFC history to record at least 1 knockdown.

Covington's average of 668 standing significant strikes per knockdown is the fifth highest in that group.

Woodley averages one every 35.6

Covington holds the UFC record for most significant strike attempts in a single fight, with 515 thrown against Robbie Lawler

Woodley has thrown just 472 significant strike attempts in his last 5 fights combined.

Woodley was only taken down twice in 9 Strikeforce fights.

He was taken down once in his first 12 UFC fights.

He has been taken down 4 times in his last 2 fights.

Covington has at least 5 takedowns against 6 of his last 8 opponents. The only exceptions:

vs Demian Maia (0 attempts)
vs Kamaru Usman (0 attempts)

This morning several offshore shops received small / steady action on Johnny Walker and Kevin Holland

Very small but noticeable action also crept in on Gerald Meerschaert

These are from recreational accounts
