Well, for the most part, the midterms are over. There was no BLUE WAVE, just a blue victory in some places and a red victory in others. Democrats now control the House and Republicans control the Senate. So more than likely the war will escalate and nothing will get done for the country. As you can plainly see, even on this site, winning did not appease the left, it enraged them more. I had said , a few days ago, that if this exact thing happened it would not result in anything more than a new round of fighting and divide us even further. I was correct and I wish I had not been. If you think the last 2 years were bad, get ready!!! Just the thoughts of an old fart!!!

Pres. Trump asked for more Republican congressmen. Instead, he got what he needed, more Senators.

As far as impeachment of Trump and Kavanaugh goes, which is all we are hearing from the left press and congressmen now, just remember that the Repubs could not get 68 votes on Clinton and he admitted he lied to congress. So if you believe you can 68 Senatorial votes to convict Trump and Kavanaugh, you are seriously pissing into the wind. We will probably be playing dueling investigations by the House and Senate for the next 2 years. No one will win and no things of substance will be accomplished. As to Trumps legacy, which the press is screaming he needs to get something done, it already is. By the end of his first term, more conservative judges will have been confirmed than by any other president including Regan. Since the first Bush, more liberal judges, by a 3-1 margin have been confirmed. That is changing and in a big way. And you can thank the Democrats for that, for doing away with the filibuster and 68 votes for conformation of judges they made it easier for the Senate.

Just an FYI prior to the Senate vote in 2013 changing the Filibuster for Supreme Court and Judicial nominees it was 60 votes not 68 to break the Filibuster.

Now it is simple majority vote for those positions.
