Syndergaard - torn ulnar collateral ligament

Right elbow ... expected to undergo Tommy John surgery

The procedure will keep him out until at earliest April 2021 and likely into the summer months.

Just wondering if it was an underlying condition or something that just recently happened? In either case, I hate to hear it and hope he recovers and gets back to form

Thats crazy, you think that would have been mentioned in the media. They mention all kinds of other crazy shit. sorry to hear you drafted him. I must say I am glad you did because I thought he was due for a bouce back year and liked him. He was gone by the time I thought about him. Take care and good luck.

I am just guessing it was an underlying issue that they were keeping private. either way that really sucks, but unfortunately as a Mets fan I am kind of numb to this and expect it by now. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he was injured trying to chase down a wild boar or maybe just getting out of the shower and slipping, who knows anymore...
